New Years Eve

Up early  so we can get to the church and fix the communion for tomorrow!

Next, stop by and pick up some oyster’s. We will be celebrate our son-in-law, Ryan’s 22nd birthday tomorrow!  It is on the 29th, but he was working, then celebrating with his family…so we do it when we can!

I made him a strawberry cake that fell apart, so I just put it in a casserole dish and iced it….Strawberry crumble cake would be a good name! But it is good!

We decided to stay home and ring in the new year with our dear friends Bill and Mary Jane! Bart and Casey and the girls came by for a little while and we enjoyed them so much!

We enjoyed our time with family and friends and welcome 2012!

Isabella

I got to keep Isabella a little while today! Boy has she gotten mobile. It took her a little while to walk, but once she got it…she was running!!!  She walks very fast or runs where she wants to go. She is pretty quite, walks around and looks and takes in everything! If she is in to something she is really quite!

She can sing the Barney Song and Happy Birthday…….you can’t really understand the words but you know the tune!

She loved my Christmas decorations, she would stand in front of the tree and dance back and forth! She walked and took it all in. When she came the other day, she was looking for the decorations! Too cute!

This girl adores her Papa!!! And, he adores her and eats it up!

Stomach Bug Round Three

Yep, Cole had a touch of it, even though he would not want to admit it!!!

Looks like we are done with it!!! Let us all hope so!!!

Stomach Flu-Round Two

It took Cayden about 8 days to get shed of his bug. Next, came sweet little Isabella. Poor thing!!! I just hate it so bad! She got better pretty quickly, then it was Casey’s turn. I went and got Kylie and kept her trying to keep her from getting it! She spent most of the week with Papa and Ma J.

Then Bart got it! Next came Kimberly, Buddy and Tripp, then Laura.

Decking the Halls

Cayla and I got my tree up pretty early this year. Kylie decorated most of it while Cayden and Isabella undecorated it…lol!!! I bought shatter proof ornaments years ago when Kylie was a baby.

One- I do not want my ornaments broken. Two-Christmas is for kids and I do not want to stay on them about the tree. Now, Cayden did get in a trouble a little because he would get a hold of the lights and run with them!!! LOL! He tried his best not to touch them, but they were just so pretty!!!

I really did not have enough shatter proof ornaments for this fat tree! It needed help! More ornaments-check!

Happy First Birthday to our “First” Grandson----“Our Little Man”!!!

_MG_6423-1

Happy First Little Cayden Man!!! You are 1 year old….yeehaw!!! You are a such a sweet and funny little boy!!! You have learned so many things in your first year! Rolling over, crawling, walking and saying a few words. You love to ride on just about anything with wheels and that moves! You love to ride the tractor with Ma J, you will not ride it with your Papa unless I am with ya’ll! You love to wrestle with me…..you pull hair and think it is funny, and you try and bite! Yes, you think that is funny too!

Your Mom tells you no, no…..and you just look at her and grin! Just like she did!

You love for Papa to play his guitar and sing to you!

You love outside!!!

You love your cousin Kylie bunches and you attack her…..with hugs, hair pulling, kissing and biting! And poor Isabella, you have pulled her hair since way back, pulled her skin, got her toys…you better watch our because one day she is going to have enough!!! LOL!

You do not like for me to hold anyone else, you and Isabella have to both sit in my lap!!! But I love it!!!

You enjoy Sunday School most Sundays!

You love to watch Nemo in the car!

You are learning to swim!

You cut your top two teeth first!

You had your first virus at the same time your Mom did and you got sick in my car…yuck!!! LOL!

You spent the night with Papa and I at the Suwannee River and rode in the boat. You loved the water!

You also stayed when you were sick because you Mom was to sick herself to take care of you! You wanted to get on the couch, I put you up there and you laid on the pillow like a big boy! The I laid down beside you….you cut that brown eye over at me and began to stroke my hair….right before you pulled it, and laughed!!! You little stinker!!! It took about 8 days for you to feel like yourself again.

You were not feeling well at your first birthday party, but you did enjoy it anyway!!!

You have been a Mama’s boy for the most part of your first year!  And that is just fine, as you get older you will have lots of men folks to follow around!!!

Papa and Ma J love you bunches!!!

Fire Place

I have been without a fireplace cover for almost  year. Got rid of the brass one, finally! Just could not decide what I wanted, so we have had a black hole with candles and greenery. Then a table in front of it to keep the babies out of it!

Well….I finally got something! I must say it looks better!

Christmas 2011 001

Since my hubby wont build a fire….I made my own!!!

The box sat on the pool table for a week. Then I opened it and brought a quilt to the closest door, sat in on it and the pulled it to the den! Now, it stayed there for a couple of days…got sick! On Sunday afternoon I decided to read the directions. I am getting it…slowly. WB came through and offered to help prop it up with a chair, then left!!! I finally just quit for a while! Then went back, took the doors off. One part said you could remove them, further down, it said….not to remove the screws…too late!!!

Got the doors off, WB came back by…decided I needed help.  (He told me I could get one, but that he would not put it in!!!) He just has a hard time getting on his knees.

He climbed in the fireplace to install this thing, oh my!!! He got it and then I had to reinstall the doors….a problem for sure! You were supposed to loosen the screws, but not remove them!!! Lets just say….lesson learned!!!

Cayden’s “1st” Birthday Party

Your Mom has worked on your party for weeks trying to make it special just for you! I think she did a great job!

She wanted to make your cake, we bought all the supplies…it would have been cheaper to order one, but she wanted to do it. Well, guess what? We all got sick and just could not do it…so we ordered it, maybe next year!!! And oh, the cake she ordered did not look anything like what she told them! But it is cake!

The Stomach Flu----YUCK!

Yes, Cayla came down with this on the 14th at around 2:00 AM. I did not know anything about it until the next morning. I was in Wal-Mart trying to finish up a few things. The text came though! I went to get Cayden because she did not want him to get it.

Got there, cleaned a few things and we left. I was concerned that with her being pregnant she was going to be dehydrated. Yes, been there and done that…have never forgotten it either! I called her dr for her on the way home. The nurse called me back, as we are talking Cayden began to vomit in the back seat! Yep, all on him and the car seat!!! I only had a few wipes and that was not even enough to get started! Just headed on to Morven and prayed he would make it to the house! Oh boy, we made it!

In the mean time, G-Ma Bridges went to  get Cayla’s meds for her. Thank-you G-Ma!!! It did not work!

I called and got Cayden some meds, did not work for him either. WB went and got them for me, one would have thought that I had asked him for a million dollars just to go and pick it up…men! But, he did go and bring it back…..yeah for him!!! Whoop, whoop!!!

I called his dr. back…bring him in….do what???  OK…..Lord, please help him to not get sick and choke in that car seat!!!

Thank-you Lord!!! We made it. Back to the pharmacy, more meds! Calling and checking on Cayla constantly and her calling me to check on Cayden…somebody just give me a nerve pill or shoot me, either will be fine!!! LOL!

Cayla was being stubborn and thought she was going to get better. Would not call the doctor back! After her fever broke, she did feel better…but she is dehydrated!!!

DR office closed now, must call the hospital. They told her to get on up there!!! She still does not want to go! Finally, her sister took over, went and picked her up and took her!!! Her hubby had to go to work.

Yes, I was right. She was dehydrated and was having contractions because of the dehydration! Yep, fluids and two shots later to stop the contracting…she was released! I was getting antsy by about 12:30 and just went ahead, put on my make-up and my clothes. You know how it is. if you are prepared things don’t happen! The minute you are not prepared, it will bust loose!!! LOL!!!

Thank the good Lord the contractions stopped, just think….she could of had to babies under one!!! LOL! Really, we want Bentley to be healthy and this was just to early for him to arrive!!!

On Thursday, I was feeling a little funny myself! We had to get Cayden’s cake ordered. Since we were sickly we did not think we needed to be baking and messing around with food!  Nor did we feel like it! I began taking nausea meds on Thursday!

Friday, I am flat on my back sick as a dog!!! Praying I get well enough to go to Cayden’s party. Ryan has also come down with it! We were like…ok….just come on, cause we know its going to get us!

Thank the good Lord, we made it to the birthday party!!!

Christmas Trip with My Bestie

Day One: Wednesday we left for our annual Christmas Shopping Trip. First stop was Gander Mountain, Kirklands and Best Buy! Then on to Ponte Vedre Beach, not that we care anything about the beach in December, but the area is nice and pretty much in the middle of  where  we    like to shop! We ate at Woody’s, WB did not care for his, but mine was good and I was hungry! Ran by the grocery and got breakfast item!

Back at the condo we unloaded what we had bought into the locked garage…yeah…did not have to take it up the stairs! Had to make room for the Toys-r-us stop tomorrow!

Nice condo, right on the beach!

Day  Two:  Thursday we were at the toy store by around 7:45! Easy shopping and not waiting in line! WB picked Isabella out a drum set….not an age appropriate one of course!!! I made  him put it back….he said, “that is just not fair”!!! Too funny!!! That is just one of the things that was to old for her and Cayden. The rest, we will put up for later or …I do not know!!! He has always done this!!!

Next we went to West Marine, then to Dicks. Now, made a drop off at the condo and on to St. Augustine! Lunch and outlets! Oh  yes, he is wanting to go deep sea fishing, but the weather is very windy and I need to get this shopping done and I do not like to shop on Saturdays!!! Saturday would be a fishing day….but weather is not looking favorable! On to the outlets! WB lasted until about 1:30 and them his knee began to hurt. He just waited around the truck for me! Took a nap!!! Found a few bargains! Off to eat seafood for supper!!! We have eaten really good on this trip, but we are tired and ready to relax at night….getting old!!! LOL!

Day Three:   The Avenues Mall, oh boy!!! We got there as they were opening and stayed until 5:30!!! WB was done way earlier than I, but waited patiently!!! The Toyota people were there and if you checked out a car they would give you a 10.00 gift card for the ball or you could donate it to ST. Jude’s! Well, he was drumming up business for them and yes we donated ours! Too funny, he is a kind soul!!! Supper tonight----Palm Valley Fish Camp! Yum!!!

Day Four:  A day to go to Sams, a few pawn and gun shops. Stein mart of course and then supper at the Bogie Grill. Back to the condo to pack up. We also watched some of our Navy vessels out off  our glassed patio. WB went and got his binoculars. It was the USS Gettysburg that had been deployed for 7 months! Very neat to watch them as they were coming by. We say helicopters landing and taking off of the carriers! Doesn’t take much to entertain us!!!

Day Five:   Home Sweet Home! A wonderful time we had together, lots of laughter and fun!!! So blessed to have such a kind, giving soul mate! Now….wrap, wrap, wrap!!!

Thanksgiving 2011

Well, I think for the second time in 27 years I hosted Thanksgiving. Once before, I did it for my Mother-in-law who was sick that year and we had all of her family. This time it was for my Mom’s side of the family.  Anyone who has done this knows how much  preparation it takes and if you have not hosted before….you do not know..lol! It is so good to do this because it makes you appreciate your Mom, Mother-in-law, Aunts and all those wonderful ladies who did this for your family when you were young! I really enjoyed hosting this year and so appreciate all the help that Cayla gave me!!! It would have taken longer and would not have been near as much fun with out her assistance. We had so many laughs!!!

It was a blessed day in many ways. Our Mom and all four of her girls and families were together at some time during that day. We also we so glad that Matthew brought his girlfriend, Morgan. She may never come back, but she was brave enough to come this time!!!

We also got to visit with two of my Aunts and cousins. This just topped off the day to make it fantastic!

First of all, WB decided to get a new smoker/grill last week. He cooked on it several times practicing and it is great!

He was going to cook the turkeys and ham for me, great!!! I ordered the dressing..check! We were going to try and eat around 11:30, it was more like 12:30 due to some turkeys not wanting to get eaten and several other things…lol!!! Like, dressings, peas and casseroles being a little bit shy of being done, plus some thought 12:00, which was just fine too. All of this gave for some great laughs and memories!

Finally, everything  was on the table, ice in the glasses, ready to eat. As I began taking foil and saran wrap off of the dishes, I got to the meat…….take off the foil to the turkey platter and this is what I saw……  gasp!!! LOLOL!!!

031

It was so funny and I was so glad that we had cooked a ham big enough to feed everyone with left over's!!! And let me tell you….this turkey was excellent!!! The flavor was delicious, they just would not get done. He had put them on at 5:00. They got done around three pm. We really think that they may have not thawed completely!!! And WB was not to happy about it, he did chuckle about it some, but does not like to be defeated and he will master it I am sure!

The food was all delicious and plenty left for supper!

023

I finally got to use my “Woodlands” china!!! Love it because it is dishwasher safe!!!

After our “feast”, it was time to relax. Some rode the golf cart, some climbed trees, groomed and played with the dogs, some shot guns, some watched football, someone prepared for shopping…lol, and some chilled on the porch. And then some had to clean up the dishes and such!!! It was all so worth it!!!

2011-11-24

2011-11-241

After some chill time, some went home and a few of us went to see our Aunt Tommie and Uncle C.L., and Aunt Ann, Sharon and Shawn who came from Mississippi. We also got to see Donna and her girls while we were there! Kelly and family were coming and her girl Jodi broke her leg so we were all so sorry for them and missed them, but we hope she heals quickly!!!

2011-11-242

After a visit we came back home an heated up leftovers. Kevin, Buffy and the girls were able to join us for supper…..Kevin had some explaining to do about the chocolate cake he did not remind anyone to bring!!!

What a blessed day! Thanks to everyone who made the long journey home! We loved having all of you!!!

Cleaning Wedding Stuff

Yesterday, I decided I just had to get all the wedding items back in the storage unit. And I did, except for a few tablecloths!!!! It was a big job, but done!!!! whoop!!!

King Wedding

Another wedding in November, for yet another dear friends daughter. They helped so much at Cayla’s wedding, and we were thrilled to help them! It was at the Dasher House and they married at the gazebo! Now, the gazebo is pretty, buy when you sit….you see the ugly fan and you see the fluorescent lights, the silver pipe for wiring, and the back of a building! Not what you want to see in your pictures!

I decided that I would need to cover that up, with tulle maybe. Then my ma-in-law and I went and measured and I decided I did not have enough tulle. Fabric would be expensive too! I found some tablecloths and that is what we used for the ceiling!

I made another chandelier, but she did not want candles….so I used an iron piece off of my wall, draped flowers from it, added ribbon….and lights…pretty!!!

Cayla and I hung the iron piece and draped the ceiling on Friday….smart choice!!! Oh me, at one point I said….do we just need to ditch this idea??? No, it looks better, lets keep going!!! And it turned out so pretty!!! There are a few things added by another friend, Vicky! The green bows on the Sheppard's hooks and the flower balls, the pink scarf and the flower arrangements at the gazebo! And it all came together!!!

Trick of Treat

I have not been trick or treating in a few years. I turned that job over to the kids, but it is so much fun watching them! This year I got to go with both of my girls and their kids. Bart was able to go and Josie came along also and they made it all the more fun! We went to Casey and Barts…they live in Hahira. This are  our first pictures of the kids!!!  2011-10-31

It was so cute. Cayden did not know what to think of these two! He got fine with it after a little bit!

Josie made a treat box for each of the kids, so creative and the brownie was good!!! So glad she came with us, we love our Josie!!!

Fiveash Wedding

A dear friend of mine is getting married, one of my girls ( ball players)! I told her and her Mom that I would help decorate and loan them my wedding stuff! A family member loaned my “stuff” to a friend of hers in September for her wedding. So, I had it sitting in a room at my house waiting for Sarah’s wedding. On the day her Mom was coming to get it, I decided I would open it and take a look. I knew it looked smaller than what I sent.

I am seeing red at this point!

First, they took apart two arrangements I had made and combined them into one, and it did not look better I might add! Second, the tulle was tied up in knots and just in a mess. Third, they smashed my bows!!! Now I had them in three containers, small-med-large. One would think you would return them as you found them….not. I had to fluff the bows up, put the tulle in the dryer and get the wrinkles out, re-make the flower arrangements. Diane and Marsha helped me and I was so thankful! But, my stuff will only be going to weddings that I attend and help take it down!!! And I will be the loaner!!! LOL!!!

Anyway, an outside wedding is a whole lot of work for sure! But Sarah and RJ had a gorgeous wedding and I felt so good to have helped! Cayla, Casey, Missy, Debra, Mickey and Jerry McMullen helped too! And my Mother-in-law….she is always at my side!!! Thanks to all of you!!!

I made a chandelier to hang at the pergola and some bows. I found some fern in the ditch that I wanted to use so I put my snake boots on, with my shorts and a hat, cut that on Friday and let it soak! I had planned on putting out the Sheppard's  hooks on Friday but they did not arrive on Friday!  When I arrived Friday afternoon, not one chair had been set up for rehearsal, so….check!!! That was a lot of chairs! Hung some hooks it the tree also!

Sat. morning comes. We arrive at my in-laws around 6:45 and begin cutting ivy from her tree, it is still dark…but we have a flashlight!!! On to Lake Park, arrival time 7:45! Still no truck with Sheppard's hooks! Cayla and I go ahead and set up the guest book table! Mickey and Debra arrive at 8:00. We begin hanging our greenery. Little Jerry comes and we think we are not going to have to attach the columns to keep them from blowing because it is not windy.

We get it decorated and I went to check out some other decor going on. At about 12:30 the wind picked up, began to blow over the columns, we had to call Jerry back. That meant we had to wrap the wood with tulle…..pull hair out!!!

Next, on to the reception hall. No plates were out of the bins, or glasses! Oh my, Thank goodness Brenda Hunter came by and Joyce was there!!! With the help of them and Cayla, we did get the items out of the bins and stacked. Then we had to go and get dressed and feed Cayla and Bentley!

We were back in about an hour and a half. It was a very sweet wedding for a very sweet couple.

Isabella Walking

2011-10-09

Sunday, Cayden, Cayla and I are in the den. He is trying his best to walk and is doing pretty good. We got so tickled!

He was tucking one of his arms….. about on his hip and walking stiff legged. Plus doing his excited nose noise!!! It was the cutest thing ever! He just keeps those toes curled up so tight it is hard to balance…it runs in the family!!!

Grands 2011-10-09

We knew that Kylie had to be under the weather Sunday. She was just crying about any and everything. Plus, she took a 2 hour nap!!!

She wanted to stay with MamaJ Sunday night and of course, she did! I asked her if her ears hurt, no. Then she told me….You know how I told you that I had a kink in my neck last week? Well, I have that again and it is hurting really bad. I felt her head and it felt warm. Casey gave her some Tylenol.

We went upstairs to sleep because it is the only quiet spot in the house! She had the wiggle’s, could not be still!!! I did not want to get on to her to much, because I knew she was ill! Finally I told her to practice her star fish from swim. Arms our relaxing, no moving…and remember to squeeze those butt cheeks together…then the laughter began. But, she did practice her star fish and did fall asleep.

She went to the doctor Monday….she does have strep, again!

When school is out, not strep…..when school is in….strep!!!

Cayden and I rode the tractor today! I really did not think he would like it because of the noise…but he loved it and fell asleep! He is trying to walk and can take a few steps. He just gets so excited that he can’t contain himself!!! He begins to walk and starts breathing real fast through his nose and grinning!!! Too cut!

Isabella is really doing some walking. They got her some tennis shoes and oh my…..she has not stopped since then. She will be running soon!!! All she does is walk and explore. She will climb the stairs also…..very quietly!!!

One night when she stayed with us, she was dancing a little. Papa came in and saw her and danced a little too….he kind of got his arms going back and forth and bounced. WELL……every time Isabella see’s her Papa now……she dances. First, she shakes the bottom half of her body and bounces…then she starts with the top….it is so funny!!!

Looking Good

Great Job at Swim Class

Well, it looks like we have finally made some progress at swim today! She just needed a little extra time, instruction and understanding! We also put goggles on her and that helped very much!!! There is more to it than what I ever knew!!! I really think I might should sign up…lol!!!

Swim Lessons 2011-09-30

First picture, Kylie is “star fishing”…..floating on her back, chin high. (Next picture….she has flipped and is kicking.) They teach this so if they ever get tired or in trouble they know how to float. Why is it harder for some to float than others? I have seen it all my life! Well, Kylie has a hard time with this, her legs want to stay at the bottom, or when she rolls from face down to up…she has a tendency to sit up, which makes her sink! Also you have to not move your legs and arms. They taught her how to squeeze her butt checks together to  make her hips and tummy come to the surface!  So they worked a lot today on this with her!

Bottom left….Ms. Margie has her arm under her upper back and they are holding hands. She has her way  high in the water, which is how they want them! Next pix…flipping again!

Swim Lessons 2011-09-291

Ok----top left??? She decided to be a manatee I think!!! Took a trip to the bottom of the pool! LOL! Top right…coming up and flipping on her back to starfish! Another problem…looking at the bottom of the pool! She wants to look ahead. They want them to look down, so she has to work on this! But is looking good!

Swim Lessons 2011-09-29

Top right, working on kicking, feet should stay just under the water, it makes you go faster than kicking on top! Ms. Margie is counting and then she will let her turn. She did so much better today! Looks like we may move on to the next class after next week!!!

I am just amazed at the younger kids, how quickly those babies and toddlers catch on….they scream and holler, but after 3  or 4 weeks of it, they know what to do. They start counting…one, two….and they will start sticking their head under!!!  Yesterday they had a little one wear his shoes, socks and jeans and he star fished and  rolled. It makes sense, they usually fall in with all of their clothes on!!!

I love it! I am ready to take Isabella…if her parents want too!!!

Cayden

Cayden is so funny and cute. He is walking a little, pushing toys around like a bull dozer. He loves for you to read to him. He will back up to you or root around until he gets in your lap so you can read him a book!

Way to go Kylie!!! She swam without her arms in swim  survivor class! Now, let me just say that we were given the heads up on this….and I fretted about it all weekend.

She was using her hands, like dog paddling here and there….they do not want this. Also, when she flipped, she was using her shoulder to flip herself instead of using her hips. So….I prayed for her this weekend, and myself…since I would be taking her come Monday!

We went and ate at Chic-fil-a and we talked about the teachers. I asked her if she liked them, of course she does! Then I said, you trust them too don’t you? Yes, she does. I am trying to prepare her without telling her what they will probably do today. I told her I agreed with her fully! That they were all doing a great job and that they take care of here students! The only thing she said was….they had not let her go down that slide yet!!! Too funny!

Here we go, on to class, MamaJ is nervous…but we can do this! In the pool she goes and they work with her for a few minutes, then…I see the teacher reach for the top of a wet suit…..oh boy, I just covered my face with her towel for a minute. Then I watched Ms. Margie put it over her head, told her not to worry about the arms, she did not them to swim with today anyway! Then she took the loose sleeves and just tied them together so they would be out of the way, Kylie is just grinning and looking like, this is crazy! But now, she can not use her arms and she must use the hip to flip. They warmed her up a little and she did great, she was smooth and relaxed…amazing! They have to retrain her brain to do it the correct way!

Today, she did not have to wear it, but they are going to move her to a longer class time two days a week.

Kylie has never really liked water in her face or ears, so she really wants and needs to learn how to be a good swimmer! She is well on her way!

Childhood Swimming Memories

I talked to my sister Lynn yesterday. We talked about her teaching and kids and then I told her about Kylie taking swim lessons.

Oh dear, the laughing began!

Now, we did not get to go swimming a whole bunch, but we did go some!!!

Some kids just love the water and some do not. Well, one of us loved it growing  up and one did not. Sometimes we can have a bad experience and it stays with us!

While down at Cherry Lake many moons ago, we were jumping off the dock. Someone did not go down the dock far enough and jumped in, blacked out for a second and that was the end of courageous pier jumping. People asked are you ok? Sure, sure!!! NOT!!!  I assume the wind must have gotten knocked out of this person!!! Oh, not fun out of the water, much less in the water!!!

Barwick Pool was another place we got to go and swim. Aunt Tommie was tall and she would let us swim in between her legs, she also taught us how to swim. Thanks Aunt Tommie!!!

One of us liked underwater swimming and one of us did not. One did not mind splashing and one did! One did not like her hair wet and one could care less. One would jump off the diving board and one would not. One of us decided to be brave one day and strike out across the pool…dog paddling, no less!!! About the time she got in the middle of the pool she ran out of steam and had to grab the nearest thing, which happened to be one of the Thompson boys. LOL!! She had to ask for a small lift to the edge of the pool!!!

We have decided that Kylie gets her swimming technique from this sister!!!

I am so glad one of us has a memory because the other one did not remember all of this story, until her memory was jarred a little!!!

Fun childhood memories, sisters are the best!!!

Got this picture right before they covered it up!

A picture from the old days….not this is not either one of us. I do think the one on the right sitting is our cousin Paula! It even had a pool for the little ones!!! I almost forgot about that!

Last week as Kylie and I were trying to go to sleep, someone was snoring. Kylie was tired and she said, “how are we supposed to go to sleep with all that noise, we will never get to go to sleep!” I laughed and just moved Papa’s arm around some so he would stop snoring. She told me that was not going to work, but it did long enough for her to go to sleep! Too funny!

I know someone that loves this little boy very much and he loves his Uncle Cole!Recently Updated

Funny thing is…..he reminds us of him so much!!! Loves to be held, wants you to play with him, loves to go out side   !!! LOL!!!

Sunday…..got up and dressed myself first! Then woke Isabella and bathed her, dressed her in her pretty new dress. She was very tired…went to bed at 12:00, little night owl…but sleeped very well!!! She did not mind the dress, but the socks and shoes are a different story.

We went and picked up Cayla and Cayden and headed to Sunday School. They made it about 30 minutes  before they came and got us. We went right on up to the nursery, they are both at that age.

Next, out to eat. Next, took the tow C’s home. They fell asleep before we could get there. Next, home sweet home! Isabella played and then took another nap. Next, take her to her other G-ma’s house. Next, come back and rest!

It was a great, busy  weekend and oh by the way……I hate car seats!!! I mean, if you go around the block, you have to get back in the thing!!! I know they are best, but oh what a pain!!!

Guess who put in to spend the night after she got home from her Grannie’s, yep….Kylie!!!

Happy 27th to Cole and Josie!

Happy Birthday to the both of you!!!

2011-09-21

Yes, Cole and Josie share the same birthday, same age!!! They had a little celebration with some of their friends….good friends and good food!!! Leah got their cake for them..camo of course! Josie worked really hard on the Happy Birthday banner along with the whole event and it turned out really cute and nice.

They had a low country boil and oysters! It was a fun evening and everyone enjoyed it!

We survived the night, she did pretty good. This morning we had to get up, go get some baby food, her shoes and a few other things. Decided she needed a new dress for tomorrow.

Target was the first stop…she did well, likes to squeal in the store. She smiled at everyone and they thought she was a doll…so do I! Next stop, the Children's Place---nothing, on to Belk's---nothing, (and you can not push a stroller in Belk's) on to pick up her shoes we ordered from Toads and Teacups, found a dress, socks and hair bow. I am ready go home and so is she!!!

Now she is napping!!! Sweet pea!

Isabella

Isabella is spending the weekend….oh boy. She has never stayed away from her parents over night!!! This should be interesting!

Today I meet Casey and Isabella for haircuts! Isabella did fine once again! After haircuts, I just took her with me so Mom could get ready to go!

First stop----dry cleaners.

Second stop----Aunt Cayla’s to pick up something. Played with Cayden and these two were to funny. They both want the same toys, they both want to be in MamaJ’s lap at the same time! They speak what they dis-like in their own grunt language!!! Isabella was standing at the door, looking out. Here comes little man….it was not enough just to stand beside her, he tried to get in front of her just a little by putting his leg in front of hers…too funny!!! But, he was very excited to see and play with her…he was so happy. Two funny and cute kids!!!

Next stop….drop off stuff at good will!

Next stop….Hobby Lobby! Bless her heart she had fallen asleep and I had to wake her, but she was so good!!! She loved riding in the buggy. She smiled, tried to get things off the shelf and squealed quite a bit! I told her to be quieter, she laughed and squealed again!!! I think she liked the echo she heard!!!

Next stop….home!!! She has walked many a mile today, tried to eat paper…I told her she was not a  goat….she just smiled!!! She ate and drank, loved an ice pop. Took a nap, rode the golf cart…the only way I got her up from her nap…lol Papa rode her on the four-wheeler!

She got supper, a bath, loving from everyone and now went to sleep, around 9:40. She does not just fall asleep, she has flung her cloth diaper around, stood up, sat down, sat up, laid down, clapped her hands, sang, rolled, etc. Oh boy does she fight going to sleep!!! But she is a cutie!!!

Oh yes, she just does not quiet know what to think about Papa, she likes him when he rides her, when he is at his barn, but when he is in the house or our bed….she just does not understand that! She would not go see him in the bed….finally, I got beside him and said…this is my Papa!!! Well, that was all it took, she crawled right over and went to loving on him and then getting in between us!!! After that, she was just fine and continued to pester him as he slept! LOL!

She slept pretty good, but I know someone else who did not…lol!!!

Kylie--- Ky. spent the night one night this week. On the way home from swim lessons, she told me this had been the best day ever. I asked her, Why? She said, “Because we got to be together MamaJ!” She was like, well….do you have to ask! It was so sweet and made my heart just fill with love…..it will be way to soon before it won’t be this way, she will be too busy for older folks….I will treasure every moment!!!

Later that night we were watching a show she wanted to watch. I told her it was time for bed. She did get a few more minutes. Papa went to the den because he had his on show he wanted to watch. About the time I get her settled down, we hear him in the kitchen….then, she had to go to the bathroom. Now, she did not go to the one in our bedroom! No, she had to go to the one by the kitchen. I went to the door and hid and watched her.

She walked real slow watching her Papa, he did not have a clue she was out of bed. She went on to the bathroom, came out and stood over by the butcher block, where she could get a better view of what Papa was doing!!! He is still clueless!!!

Next he walks over to the toaster and is making toast, so I think! He has already been in the pantry and made his cereal. (She is not saying a word, just watching)

When he walks to the toaster, his back is turned to her….she walks on over to the counter where he was to check things out…..I am just giggling as I watch from behind the door. Finally, he sees her!!! They chat for a minute and she comes back to the room!

She said, “MamaJ, what is wrong with Papa?” (She is giggling!) “He was smashing up bread and putting it in the toaster????”  I am like, who knows….get in this bed and go to sleep!!!

After she feel asleep I went into the kitchen and saw hotdog buns out and the bread box open. Then, it occurred to me that he thought we were out of bread! But, another loaf was in the pantry beside the cereal. He walked in the kitchen and I told him what she said!!! He laughed and said he was smashing the hotdog bun so it would fit in the toaster, lol!!! I said, you know there was another loaf in the pantry?

No, he did not know!!!
