Happy Birthday Winston!

Happy Birthday Winston, Papa, Daddy!!! Winston's birthday is Sunday. We celebrated early since we are going to be out of town. We usually are on his birthday. He doesn't like a big production on his special day. But this year Kylie knows all about birthday's & we could not just let it pass without celebrating it. She has been asking about it and wanted to have a cake! Cayla made the birthday supper, salad and up-side-down-pizza, it was so good!!! We were in town most of the day so we did not have much time to prepare, we also had not planned on going to Destin this weekend. Friends of ours offered us their condo for free! Thanks Murphy's!!! So the party was a spur of the moment...like most everything we do!! Check out the spelling on the cake, or is it just me? We also did not have any candles, so I just put one big ole candle in it...Kylie did not know what to think of the candle...nor did her Papa, but it served the purpose!!! We will leave tomorrow for our annual shopping trip if Grandma Wisenbaker is o:k! Be sure & remember her in your prayers!
Well, we had to buy a new mattress. We were not thrilled about this due to--- we had just bought a pillow top a few years ago! It was so comfy...to begin with, we loved it! We did turn the pillow top, 1/4 turn, but it must not have been enough! It does take more than 1 or 2 people to turn it as well! Both of us have a problem with our hip....it comes out of place & you don't know it until it hurts, & is sore! I could not take it any more!!!! I made myself go shopping for one! Winston would not go, of course! (Cayla & I went...I told her I would buy her lunch! She loves to eat out!) I really needed her to go so she could lay on the other side & see if I could tell when she got in & out of the bed!Ha! I am a very light sleeper...light, noise, movement.....not fun, for me or Winston! We laid on a few & narrowed it down to 2. I can not say I really like it...it is very firm! The good thing is.....our hips are supported & we both agree they feel better, I think! Did I say I hate to shop for a mattress, it's as much torture as shopping for a swim suit! Ugh!!!!

Trimming the Tree

We got our tree up early this year...probably a record. We must give credit to Cayla, she has really been on the ball. She got the tree & the trimmings down. She also stung lights outside in the trees, but we have so many we kept blowing fuses...need an electrician, a whole other story! Kylie had a good time taking the ornaments on & off the tree!!! We have a ornament with a basketball goal, another just basketball ornament. She took the basketball & set it in the basket of the other ornament and said, yea we win! She is so excited. Cayla wrapped some gifts and when Kylie woke up she thought Santa had come...she also opened one that was in a bag....Aunt CaCa took the presents to the attic...she is no fun!
We had a great day with all of our families. We missed all who were not able to attend this year! I did most of my cooking on Wednesday, Martha has been cooking since Monday...she loves to cook and I am very thankful for her!! Buffy and I prepared the meal for our side of the family, we had a great time of laughter with everyone and we ate too much, but it was good!!! Friday some of our bunch went to see a movie, I was to exhausted to go, but I hear they had fun! Sorry I missed it, but Winston & I neither one slept well, to much good food!

Happy Birthday Lynn

Hope you have a great birthday. So glad you are one of my sister's. We have shared many memories together. Some good and some not so good! The greatest thing we share is the ability to laugh together! Over nothing sometimes...maybe most of the time. I will be looking forward to seeing all of you for Thanksgiving! Safe Travels!

Ear Infections

Well, Kylie has got an ear infection in her left ear & fluid behind her right ear. Casey took her to Dr. Allen today. We had tubes put in when she was around a year. About 6 months ago we went for another check-up. The tubes were still in but working their way out, which is what they are supposed to do. From birth to a year old, Kylie had around 12 ear infections. Wonder if we are going to have to do this again? Poor thing, she has ran no fever, no complaining. We began to see some drainage out of the ear. The Dr. had told us that we would see some drainage, so we just thought maybe the tubes were doing their job. Then her ear got a rash on it....so we decided to make an appointment. She let the Dr. know it was raining outside when he came in to see her! When she came home she told us the Dr. told her to stick out her tongue & say ahh. When we put tubes in her ears last time it was just terrible. She screamed for an hour or so afterwards. He had told us that she would do this, most do!!!
