It was very strange today knowing that school was beginning today. At our house no one had to get up & go to school. It is kind of sad. But, we are moving on to another season in our lives! My nieces & nephews are going today, some of them! I have a niece & nephew who are beginning their senior years. I hope & pray that they both have the best year! Another niece & nephew are beginning new schools...one- High School & one- Middle school....in a new state! I know they will be a bit anxious & I will be thinking of them praying that the transition is a great one for them! I wish all of them a great school year! Kylie was up at the crack of dawn this morn....8:00. Ready to rip & roar, and she has!!! She is so funny, she is really talking and letting us know what she wants & needs! Today her Papa walked in, he can't understand her to well, she asked if he was finished with work? He answered, yes. He really wasn't! She then said, you need to go golf then! She also pooped in her pull up, took it upon herself to take it off & throw it in the trash. Then she came & told me.....bath time!!!

Jenna's Visitation

Well, tonight my Mom, daughter Casey and myself, reluctantly got dressed to go & pay our condolences to the Price family. I know everyone felt just as we did. You get it the car, blow out a deep breath, & say...man, I do not want to go & do this. But it is the only thing you can really do to pay your respects to her family, and to her! Just to let them know you care and you love them and have compassion for them. Roger was just pitiful as any of us would be. I just can not imagine the hurt in his heart. We gave him big hugs, told him we are sorry and that we love him. Talked to Mr Herbert & Ms. Pat too! We got to see HR, her brother as well. We got there early so Mom would not have to stand for so long. They had the books to sign out on the porch, which helped traffic flow. They had pictures and a slide show that were just precious. But tearful. We did not hang around at all, everyone was pretty quite and serious. When we left there was a line for about 2 blocks, and that was early! God help them please!

My Student-Jenna Price

My heart is so heavy & saddened today as I received news that a precious student I taught in preschool, life had ended. Her name is Jenna Price. I have kept up with her over the years. She is my son's age & they have been good friends over the years. Carnivals, hog shows etc. I can just see her bouncing around the class room, she was a very good helper. I attended school with her Dad, Roger, many years ago and also enjoyed her Mom's, Holly, friendship. Holly died in 2006 from cancer, she was so vibrant & full of life. I also love her Ma Pat. Just recently I have done some painting for Ms Pat and Mr. Herbert, I just love them & my heart aches for them & their loss. Jenna also has a brother who I know loved her so much and I know he will miss her terribly. May God lift them up & hold them in his hands. This has affected our whole community.

I promised my niece's that we would scrape book again in July. Well, I barely got it in. I went to church with them at Forrest Park on Wednesday night, then to Walmart to pick up a couple of pillows for the guest room, they did not sleep in it, we all camped out in the den! Kylie was spending the week with her Grannie & Dad, so this was a good week for me to do this! Then we went to Pizza Quik to pick up a Pizza. Casey went with us, so she enjoyed the fun also! On to the farm, we stayed up late scrape booking, watching t.v., playing in the computer! They were up early Thursday morning, more S.Booking, riding in the Hawg. We went to the Marble Slab, the Dollar Store...supplies for the scrape books and met their Mom in Target. They had to go home earlier because their Dad was going out of town with the youth group at church & wanted to see them before he left! I am just thankful for the over night visit & for them sharing them with me! Now, those girls can do some shopping!! Watch out Mom & Dad!!!

While in Tennessee I had the privilege of watching my niece play ball with a church league. I was excited because I have not been able to see them play because of my children playing sports & such! I also watched Matthew play softball & Mary Kate tumble! It was great! We had a busy vacation as you can tell, I would do it again tomorrow!

Tennessee Bound

We left for Chattanooga Tn today, July 15th. Winston, Casey, Kylie & myself. We are leaving early and stopping by the Tennessee Aquarium. We will stay in Chattanooga tonight. We arrived around 12:00. Our tickets were for 4:oo, could not get into the hotel until 3:00!!!! Someone is tired & needs a nap! We ate then rode around while Kylie took a nap! WE arrived at the aquarium at 4:00, put Kylie in the stroller & made our way inside. Oh my, what a great place to visit. we were taking pictures going & coming, so much to see! It was truly a beautiful and educational adventure. Kylie enjoyed it for a while, but bear in mind...she has been in a car for 6 hours!!!! This place is just great. We had a great time, got an icy to go. We went back to the hotel and were all to tired to go out & eat. Winston decided to bless us with room service, which Kylie loved since she could run around & eat! While in the hotel room, she grabbed a cell phone and said she needed to talk to CA CA! She told her she needed to come home! After dinner, baths, & looking at our pictures it was bed time! On Wednesday, we woke up and headed on to Henderson ville where we will stay with Todd, Kelly and girls! It has been many years since we have been to Tennessee. We arrive around 11:00. They guys went to the golf course, we went to a mall. Kylie is back in the stroller again. We tried to buy her some shoes, but she did not want any, she would stick her feet under the stroller so we could no put them on her feet! We moved on to the book store. She pitched a fit there also. Kelly decided to take her home & I would come back & shop with the girls! We shopped a little longer then headed home. Kylie loved their home, she thought she was at the toy store. They also have 2 stairways! She ran from one to the other! Thursday Cayla had class at VTC. After class she decided to fly up to Nashville. We rode on the jet ski and shopped. Kelly and I went & got pedicures....great!! We went to the airport & picked Cayla up & headed back home. Many laughs and lots of fun carried on during our stay. Todd & Winston golfed! The girls shopped & swamed. Friday we met Lynn & Lindsey at the mall, had lunch, lots of laughs. I rode the Merry-go-round with Kylie, she rode a submarine also! Back to Todd & Kelly's, eat pizza, off to Matthew's church league softball game. I have never seen them play sports so I wanted to see them playing & having fun! We watched Mary Kate tumble with the cheer team and Lindsey play basketball!!!Fun Fun! Todd cooked ribs Sat. and we left early Sunday. The company was great, the food was great, the laughs & entertainment was great! I would do it again, it was worth all the work!! Thanks to Kelly & Todd for being great hosts! I will post pictures later!
