Today, 23 years ago , we were blessed with a little bundle of joy! A baby boy! I can remember that day like it was yesterday! Cole had a little trouble trying to make his entrance into this world. His heart rate went down to 15 a few times so they decided to do a c-section. Winston & the rest of the family were all nervous because I was having some complications. I think I was the only one not nervous, must have been the Demerol! But God blessed us with a little cone head baby!!!09/25/07 Grandma Bridges made him a chocolate layer cake, it was delicious!!! I did make him take it to his house today because it is to tempting for a chocoholic!!!! (Cayla gave Ky some of it last night & she would smack her lips & say yum, yum wanting more!!! Cayla was cracking up, it was funny!!!) We have been blessed by our Cole Cole and we are proud of him! Happy Birthday Cole!!! We Love You!!! Oh yea, I sang Happy Birthday to you right before I cut your cake. We just could not wait on you any longer!!!Ha!

I went to the dentist this am for a cleaning. I took Ky with me! She did great! She did fuss at the hygienist a little for messing with her Nannie Ma. I told her she was brushing my teeth for me like I do hers! That satisfied her, along with the flat screen t.v with Dora on! She just sat in my lap & watched Dora! We went Wendy's & then came home. She is so tired from being at her Dad's & also Sunday's get her out of her routine! So Monday's are tough!

Church day, out to eat, groceries. After the above activities, Cayla & I went to Quitman to the Old Folks home and visited. We saw Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Bee Lee and Aunt Jean. Aunt Jean seemed to be having a good day. As Cayla & I opened the stairwell door, Ronnie & Paula were wheeling her out of her room. When she saw me, she immediately said,"Well look, there's Jill. Her eyes welled up with tears as did all of ours! We visited and caught up on the latest news with our families. As each day passes, we are all aging. It is so hard to see loved ones unable to go about their daily routine. Aunt Jean, as I remember her from my childhood, was always busy as a bee at her house!!! She was always cleaning, and it showed!! Now I must say, I could use a few lessons from her! I have so many fond memories of Uncle Julian , Aunt Jean, & Paula! Paula, Lynn & I were all close in age so we do have some memories! I told about the train to Tennessee before....I just could not imagine that train taking them from Valdosta to Tennessee! One time, Lynn & I rode with Uncle Julian to pick them up. Now bear in mind, we had never been out of the state of Ga! Back then we did not wear seat belts. We rode in the back window, floorboards, on top of the seats, the hood...just kidding, not that we would not have tried it, we were so excited we were all over the car!!! There was also one questions that we kept asking... Are we about there yet? Uncle Julian was a saint when it came to patience!!!! He would just say, naw gals, we aren't close yet. Then he would say; naw gals, it's gonna be awhile yet, we still have a way's to go; well, we are getting closer. I remember getting so stir crazy! I also remember asking, "Just how far is this place anyway? When he told us how far & long it would take take to get there , we were thinking(and I am sure we said it) we should have stayed home!! You must also know Uncle Julian did everything at a nice slow pace! Ha! We finally arrived and I am sure he was as glad to get out of that car as we were. We stayed with Grannie Crocket, Aunt Jeans mother. Played croquet, went & visited her Aunts & Uncle, one had monkeys & birds. Lynn remembers going to Stuckey's to eat on this trip & the cigar smoke burning her eyes in the car. She said her eye's were burning so bad, we did finally ask him to crack the windows. Yep, every time he rolled them up we would wait a few minutes & ask him to roll them down again! He probably needed to smoke with us in the car! More memories on this later! Ky came home at 5:00 & we were glad to see her!

09/15/07 Why Every Woman Needs their own drill!

Wonder why? Yep, that's right, a woman needs her own drill! Ya just don't need to have to ask your hubby to go down to the barn & get his drill, so you can hang a mini blind(notice I said..you). Especially if he has already removed the old washer & dryer, took down the old blind, had a long day at the golf course & is watching a football game! The worst thing is, you don't have to ask them to hang it, just ask for another piece for the drill...they will assume you want them to hang it!!!Heehaw!!! Now don't get me wrong, they will help ya take down the old one & would be glad to rehang the other... right away, it shouldn't matter if ya still need to paint the room! A little yellow paint on your wood mini blind wouldn't hurt a thing, now would it!!! Yep, it's funny now!!!! Your hubby will be more than happy to take you to the Home Depot & buy you a drill, why shucks, mine even came with a cordless skill saw!!!!! I might even get carried away and saw the bed in half! Hee haw, now wouldn't ya like to hear & see that!!! Just kidding!!! Yep, I got my own drill & saw now! I'm ready! I do have a blind to hang in hubby's office, but I think I will wait awhile!!! Another piece of advise, after 25 years, learn to laugh through these types of situations!!! Oh yea, the new washer & dryer were installed by Home Depot!!! He did not have to touch them at all!!!! Nice & peaceful!!!

Just worked around the house today, Ky is at her other families house this weekend, so I will work on a few things I need to do. I worked on removing more wallpaper in kitchen. Cayla decided to paint her bathroom so I helped her get that finished. Looks nice! We had fun & were able to spend time together!

Took Ky. to her to ENT to have ears checked, good visit! We went to paint store to get paint for the doors, ugh! Next, to the bank, Chick-fil-A.... yum, Hobby Lobby, gas up the car, go through the car wash.....Ky. does not like that very well. Especially at her window! On to walmart, post office and then home....still no nap for ky....I need one!! We watched a movie when we got home and then walked down to the barn. Pa rode us in the hawg, we watched the train and then we picked some flowers for Mom! Pa & Nannie Ma went to the Dollar General to get you milk. When we came back Ky & Casey came out to greet us. She took each of us by the hand & would pull us toward the back yard. She said mone for come on. She took us around to the back stoop & got us to sit down. Ky just laughed & wanted us to turn on the bubble machine. She has us right where she wants us!

It's Harvest Time!! It is time to pick our vegetables, an exciting & very busy time for the farm! Some of the pict are the day before they began picking & then some of the actual first day of Harvest! God has surely blessed us! I am blessed by having a husband that is a hard worker! He loves to farm & loves providing for his family! He has a heart that is very giving & I am so blessed to share in his life! Thank you Winston for all of your hard work & love for your family! We do not know what the future holds for farming with all of the labor problems & laws, but we will enjoy it while it is here! Be sure and pray for the farmers in America...I really do not want to be eating food from other countries. They can spray anything on their crops without much regulations....and then we import it...go figure!! Our gov't is just grand!!!

It will be Ky. & myself until late tonight, Casey has a class. It has been another beautiful day. Windy & cooler. I decided to wash Ky. pallet and bun bun this morn. Well, it was fine until she saw her bun bun through the window in the washer. She pointed & said, bun bun! I got it out for her of course!!!That is a down fall of having this type of washer!!!Ha!I did wait until it was clean!

It is Monday, everyone is tired from the weekend, even Ky. She is extremely ill. She is cutting a mouth full of teeth and has every right to be ill! But it is not fun! She slept for a total of 30 min. today. New appliances will be delivered today. It is after 4, they just called & are running late. Cayla, Ky. & myself took a blanket outside and laid around to enjoy the nice windy afternoon. Ky laid back & checked out the leaves and sky, then up & running again. App. delivered, now we need detergent with HE on it! Morven...does not have it....go to Q-town... Rite Aid nor Harvey's has it... Back to house. At 8:30 Cayla and I went to Walmart & got the detergent!!!Now we can wash!
