Showers of Love

Tonight we gathered at a dear friends house for a lovely shower given in honor of Cayla. It was  right up the road at Linda Cooper’s house. She was  so kind and sweet to host this for Cayla! So many friends and family came to show their love and support and I will forever be thankful to everyone! A special thank-you to: Linda Cooper , Cindy Ellis, Barbara Colson, Mary Jean Armstrong, Vicki Copeland, Debra Deloach and Martha Bridges!   

So many people came and we had so much fun, everyone had a great time visiting!!!

We surely must count our blessings because we were showered with so much love!!!

We are going to Maryland to visit a dear High School friend. We were supposed to ride with Mickey and Dee King, but after vacationing in a home with lots of stairs, WB’s knee will just not let him. So, we will fly! 

After the shower we decided to hit the road on down to Jacksonville and stay close to the airport. Yes, we  left around 10:00 and arrived around 12:00! So excited!

Happy Birthday Helen!!!

Today is my maw-in-laws birthday. I called and invited her for lunch and a pedi! She is always such a big help to me and is there for me 99% of the time!!! Occasionally, she has plans and just has to fulfill those obligations….but is a constant friend to me and I love her dearly! The first thing we had to do was return borrowed items we had used for the wedding. Then we were off to Covington’s, it was so good. A few more errands….a camera case, a card and a external drive…. and then a much needed and well deserved pedicure, we had so much fun! We upgraded her camera for her and I know she will have a great time taking pictures. Then we went to her house and studied the camera and tried to hook up a modem that BellSouth sent…that did not work!  A super great day and I hope she had a fantastic day. I can never repay for all of the nice things she has done for me…the best maw-in-law and friend!!! I love ya Helen!

Ryan and Cayla’s Wedding

In 2010, our youngest daughter married…..out our house…yikes!!! Oh well, it turned out beautiful, and let me just add…plants are necessary to hide things that just need to be covered (or hidden)!!! So many friends and family came together to help all of this come together and I will be forever grateful to all of them!!! We could not have done it without each and every one of them!!! Here are a few pictures…I am sure I will post others later!!!

Bathroom Makeover

I had been taking off the wall paper in the guest bathroom, lets just say a little at a time! When I found out a wedding would take place at our home…..well, I had to get it finished! I even had Kylie join in the fun of taking the wall paper off!

Finished room. New shower curtain and hooks, new mirror, new towels, new paint, new door and knob, new light fixture  and my very own framed prints from my photographs. I am not in to blue that much, but I do love the color of this room and am enjoying it.

The Guest Book

G-ma Bridges has a guest book for those who like to sign it after they visit. Kylie is up there with her pen, I asked if she needed help writing her name? She said, no I can make an X!!!

I gave Ky my phone to call KK & tell her she is missing the tea party. It rings and rings….goes to voice mail…Ky is still listening, I asked what did they say? She said…to hang up for more options! LOL so funny!

Pamela’s Senior Soccer Game

Today was Senior night for the soccer team. All seniors are recognized. Cayla, Kylie and I went to watch Pamela and I take  pictures. We also got to watch Katie play on the jr. varsity team! We had so much fun. We did have a delay of game due to a little thunderstorm, but play started back and we went on to win the game.  It was so fun to watch the two girls play soccer, they played well and we are so proud of them! WE love them so much!

Tea for two?

Kylie began to have a  pretend tea party time she saw the tea set. It was so cute….would you like some tea? What kind? Strawberry delight truffle? The teapot was just magical, anything you could imagine was served! She even had some cupcakes…hmmm wonder who made those? Grandma Bridges and Kylie looked daunting in their lovely hats and pretty smiles! Fun times!
