Fabulous Fridays

I tell you, Friday’s and Monday’s on the farm are an adventure. The workers got home early Thursday, we had a short picking day. This is not always the best for them as they like to celebrate an end to a early workday, if you know what I mean!!! Well, Sure enough Friday comes around, at least 7 are at home with hang over’s, a couple are at work in this condition, one of the crew leaders had his van stolen, by one of his crew, anther one had to have a visit from the Morven PD! All this leaves us short handed needless to say, which means someone has to pick up the slack. That usually falls on WB, Bill, Cole and even myself!  Wonder why WB has grey hair! It is like having a small army of teenagers! But we are so thankful to have them, we could not do it without them! 

Last night Kylie spent the night again since her Mom had to be at work so early. (Grandma Bridges kept her & took her to church while Casey was at class Wednesday night. thank-you G-Ma Bridges...got through with payroll quicker since I did not have Kylie. When Kylie got to the house she was wired!!! Ready to play etc. She had me up until 1:50....at one time she was wrapped around our 4 poster bed, just hanging around....I told her Papa that I hoped she was not going to be a pole dancer....thought she did not hear that...but she chimed right in & said....Mema J, I am a Panda Bear!!! She also talked about the weisaman...a policeman...don't know what she was talking about, to much tv I guess!!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma

Great Grandma’s Birthday would have been today. I have thought of her and her girls several times today. I know they miss her each and every day. Happy birthday and we miss you dear lady!

Today was run more errands day...will I ever not have errands to run....yes, one day! We needed ph-minus for the barn, bleach, gloves & food. Yes, not all of these go together...but just the same the farm needed these items! This is how it went...post office...valdosta...pick up Cayla...pool store & get the ph-minus...dry cleaners...I wash & dry the dress pants & shirts, but I let them iron, I just am not a good ironer...never will be cause I hate to iron...a little hungry...where else but Covington's...Cayla loves it, too...back to business...pick up bleach & gloves from catko...got to see Rick Holmes, love that guy...go to mall & get a dress that Cayla liked, hey, they are on sale...got 2 instead of 1, lucky girl...drop CJ off so she can go to work...Walmart...Sams...barn to unload these items, except the Stouffer's lasagna,which is what will be served tomorrow night for the workers...home sweet home...until I remember...YOU HAVE TO DO THE PAYROLL....I really did not forget...I just dread it! Did I say I am tired...wonder why.

Yummy

Today was very busy...Kylie spent the night, cooking supper for the workers!!! The one meal dish for tonight is Enchilada Casserole. I browned the hamburger meat & made the sauce earlier in the day & worked on some other things around the house while I waited for time to put it together. WB wants to feed them around 8:00, so I will try & have it ready....until Cole calls and informs me he is leaving around 5:00 to sell his peas in T'ville & get them to shell the 7 bushels he has sold & I can deliver the 4 bushels I sold..hmmm, does he not know I am feeding the 25 people that are helping He & his Dad pack their produce??? Better go ahead & put those casseroles together! Oh well, as I left to deliver the peas I preheated the oven...flew to make the deliveries...back home around 7:15...hope they make the 8:00 dead line...WB is a stickler for his schedule!!! Which is a good thing! I made it....3 casseroles on the table at 8:00...they ate all of it. Cayla made a surprise visit around 7:30, her clothes were dirty...imagine that! She helped me get it in the car & on the tables...thanks Cayla & we enjoyed you visit!

Braces

While at the shower Sunday, Kylie saw her teacher & wanted to sit by her of course! She was talking to her & eating, smiling etc. Then Kylie said out of the blue...hey look at your teeth, she has braces of course, you have jewelry on them! Laura, just laughed and said, I do? Kylie said... yes, and I'm going to get me some too! Sorry Laura!

Busy Sunday

Today was so busy that I did not get all of my errands finished. Kylie spent the night Saturday...we over slept...had to bathe her & wash her hair...we were only a few minutes late for Sunday school!!! I ran through & got a bite to eat, went to Belks to get a gift for the Hampton shower, ended up in the children's department ..got a few things for Kylie for next spring....birthday!!! We needed to get her some church shoes so while I waited for Casey, Bart & Kylie to arrive at the mall...I made the big mistake of going to the Childrens Place! They were having a great sale...oh my.....I got a little carried away! Cayla came with them & we did get some shoes & a couple of dresses for the two of them to put under the tree! Then Kylie & I went to the shower & church then dropped her off at Mickey Dee's. Winston called & said I needed to pick up Pizza's for the workers, again...third time in a week!!! The manager said he would give me a dollar off next time I came in!!!Ha! See ya later this week! The lessons that Bryan gave Sunday were very good as usual!

Kylie's Dawgs

Bart brought Kylie by early this morning. I made her some grits. As she was sitting in the chair, I asked if she had brought her shoes. She held up her bare feet & said, " No, I brought my dawgs." Oh my, what a hoot!!!
