TO MUCH RAIN.......NOT GOOD FOR PRODUCE!!! YIKES!

Today Kylie & I went to the barn, ate lunch with Papa. I vacuumed his man cave & cleaned out his frige...I need to do mine!!! He is so funny, he likes everything in its place...tools, desk....frig....see where I am going! I almost hate to move anything! But, I did it anyway....he was steady checking out where I was putting things. I tried to remember where everything went & put it back!!! That is a task for me! Ha! He was glad I did it, but it was just at a busy time for him...farm full of employees. I told him to be glad that I was in the mood to clean....to bad the mood doesn't come more often!!! He was very thankful after it was finished, he tried to get me to pick up this big ole rug slam full of dirt & beat it clean. I told him that was not going to happen!!! That looked like a man job!

Girls Just Wanna have Fun

Kylie has been singing her version of this song, as she helped unload the silverware from the dishwasher!

Congrats to the family graduates!

This weekend I had a niece & a nephew graduate in Tennessee. Congrats to Christina Bridges & Johnathan Nance!! We are very proud of the both of you. I am so disappointed I did not get to come but we had to prepare communion this week. I also have jury duty on Monday, plus a few other irons in the fire! Thus is life! As long as you got those diplomas...that is the main thing!! Love you both...when I get a picture I will post it!Hmmmm! Thanks Martha for the picture...Christina with her Mom who is one of the best Mom's in the world!

What two old men say about the farm!

In years past we have had a couple of older friends help us on the farm. Mr. Jack & Mr. Walter. They were great workers, but they can also tell many tales about this farm. Mr. Walter says...it's not a job, it's an adventure. Mr. Jack says...once you enter those pearly gates you just don't know whats gonna happen, or what time your gonna go home! Mr Walter was here today & witnessed the snake adventures! These two have also watched many young employees come & go. It dose not take but a few hours to let you know if they will make it! They have watched our children grow up on this farm....neither of the girls like to pack produce!!! I can relate, but they should be glad we had quite growing tobacco!!! That will really kick your bottom! Just a few memories!

Poor Birdies

Well as you know I have been watching these red bellied woodpeckers for a while. Today, a snake crawled up their tree & invaded their home....I hate snakes! The Mexicans were throwing rocks & sticks, they had also noticed these birds. Winston heard the commotion...Cole got the gun & took care of the snake, which prob took care of the baby birds! There was another nest under the shed, and would you believe, another oak snake was on the rafters just leaving their home.....that is why parents should not leave their kids at home alone, just let them starve, I guess! But when they are teenagers you just might want to leave them at home alone...Ha! Just kidding, but some days....I might have thought about it! Love you kids!

Garden

I have been working on a couple of flower beds in my yard this week. I will prob be a little sore after today's activities...which is prob a good thing! Will post pictures later.

Thanks for a great Mothers Day!

Thanks to all my sweet kids for a sweet Mothers Day. I got 2 bird feeders & a kit so I can plug my ipod into my car & listen to it. I also added some plants to the yard...I did not need anything, but loved & will cherish the gifts & memories. I stayed home with Kylie so Casey could go to church, she had to work last week. We got Cayla to pick up some Smokin Pig...Winston & Cole were having to water since it is so dry. Trying to stay ahead on the watering is a task, the wells can only water so much at a time!
I just witnessed the sweetest Mothers Day wish in the world, & it came out of the mouth of a 3 year old!. I got Casey a gift certificate for a pedicure from Kylie. It was on a pretty pink paper...Kylie loves pink! I let Kylie sign it. When her Mom got home Kylie gave it to her, she could not wait! They did a few things, gave me a card & candy, then Kylie climbed up in her Mom's lap, wrapped her arms around her neck & said..Mom, I love so much. I just don't know how much you take care of me and Bart how much he takes care of me, & Mema J. Then she goes to Cayla, repeats the same words. Next was Austin, then me and she also talked about Her Papa..he was sleeping & how much he takes care of her! It was so sweet & she said it with such meaning, with those sweet little arms wrapped around our necks! Priceless! She is still on some meds...and they are making her wild....maybe that is where this came from...not!!
