This morning I took Bentley to the doctor, acid reflux-but to young for the medication….oh boy! Changed his milk. Left and went to Hahira to visit the Cowart family for just a few minutes, then went to get Cayden and deliver Mother’s Day gifts. We went to see my Mom and her new pad! It is very nice and just right for her! Then, we left and came home-----gave both of them a bath and now I must get ready for the visitation!

Cayla and the boys rode with us and Casey and Bart came later.

Her Mom is a beautiful lady. They had some pictures of their wedding and I enjoyed seeing those. The first thing Josie asked WB when he walked in….where are my boys? Bentley just loves her and she loves him!!! When we walked in she got her hands on him right away!

We did not stay to long, before we had to get back to the farm----change the irrigation!

Our sweet Josie lost her Mom today. I was getting my hair colored when Winston called me. Just hurt my heart to know she was hurting. The loss of a parent is so very difficult and the only thing that helps, is time. The hurt never completely goes away, but time does help for sure!

I came home, WB and I made supper for them and Cole took it for us. You should have seen that cake, but it tasted good! I was embarrassed to send it, but did any way!!!I did not have time to make another one. I did not want to stack it because I knew it would slide! It is the thought, right!

Prayers for all of them!

Kylie got all of her sight words correct and got to go to the AR party!!!! So proud for her!!!

Rainbows

After the Ball, I came back home to get Bentley from Casey. She let me go to the ball because I can take good pictures and siblings aren’t allowed to go. I offered to keep Isabella!!!

On my way to take Bentley to meet his Mom,the afternoon rain had stopped and I saw this huge rainbow. I thought of Aubrey and Laura. All I had was my phone camera, so I pulled over and snapped a couple of pictures. Dropped Bentley off and headed back home.

I stopped by the barn to see the hubby on my way back in, he asked how every thing went at the Ball. I told him about all of it, as we both welled up with tears! I told him what Aubrey told her Mom about the sky, he smiled. After 15 minutes or so, we came out of his office at the barn, guess what was in the sky? Another huge rainbow. He said, Jill, look at that rainbow. I did not have my phone on me then, it was in the car. I just smiled!!!

I shared my pictures with Laura that night and told her about the rainbows. She said, that’s my Aubrey, she is quite the artist!

Then she shared Aubrey’s love of rainbows with me! Oh my, I did not know how much she loved them until that night.  She was constantly drawing or painting them and putting them on the refrigerator.

Then she shared that her brother was a song lyric writer and the week after Aubrey died he wrote a song for Aubrey…Paintin Rainbows. She emailed the song and the words to me, how special and how blessed to  know Miss Aubrey!!!

It is a precious song and will bring you lots of tears!

Blessed!!!

There are actually two rainbows in this picture!!! One is very faint.

“Princess Aubrey” Fairy Tale Ball

Every year the K-5 classes have a Fairy Tale Ball at school. They have to dress as one of the characters. This year the Ball had a very special meaning. It was in memory of a little girl who passed away a few weeks ago. She was in Kindergarten and was in Kylie’s K-4 class last year. She had nocturnal seizures. She was the sweetest little girl and she gave precious hugs!

First, they have a parade down every hall in the school! See the little girl in the middle, in the sparkly pink dress waving, she is our little princess!!!

Next, it was time for the ball! I am sure lots of time was spent preparing for this event!

There was excitement for parents and grand's to be there! There was dancing and

What fun!!!

Then after about 2 hours, it was time for the balloon release. Time to send lots of balloons and love to sweet Aubrey. The sky had cleared and it was just beautiful!

Aubrey's teacher talked about Aubrey and how she was our honored guess, how much she knew that Aubrey enjoyed the ball and that she was waiting to receive her purple balloons.  They had gathered the k-5 in a circle around the family. Each one of us received a purple balloon, her favorite color!!! I took Kylie’s crown off because I did not want hers to pop!

It was a beautiful showing of love! After, we went back  inside and began waiting for them to go back to class. I saw Elaine, Aubrey’s Grandmother. She was a little older than I in school, but her parents farmed not to far down the road from us.

I saw her earlier but just did not know what to say and just kept putting off going and giving her a hug. I knew this was so hard for all of them. But, the regrets would have been even worse. So after wrestling with this during the ball, I made myself go and give her a hug. I did not know if she even would know who I was, but who cares!!! I went over and gave her a hug and told her I was praying for them and was so sorry. She hugged me back tight and said, that is all any of us can do!

As I left I thought how blessed I had been to be a part of this! I prayed for all of them as I drove home.

Laura, Aubrey’s Mom, and I have talked through email quite a bit. I had pictures of her sweet angel from last year and wanted her to have them. So, an email and face book friendship began!

On one of her pictures on face book she tells about how on one of their many trips to Macon( to the Dr) and back…there was this beautiful sunset, Aubrey made her take a picture of it! Then she told her Mom….” when I go to heaven, I am going to paint the sky and make shapes out of clouds for everyone at home to see”!

Precious!!!

Happy Birthday Casey!

The sixth of May is our Casey’s birth day. This year, her hubby took her out of town for the weekend and they had a great time. He Dad and I thought we might get to take a little weekend trip, but it did not rain…so we are at the farm….irrigating!!!

We had a little cake and her Daddy cooked a little meal for her! All though the celebration was small our love for this young women is not!!! WE LOVE YOU, CASEY!!!

Meet Cayla with the boys, we decided we would go and eat. Zaxbys of course. Cayden was in rare form!!! He was being silly!!! I finally took him to the car. He got the steering wheel and did not want to let go! Do you want to stand in the corner? He let go……and he will actually stand in the corner!

He decided he would just spend the night with Ma J. We got home, stopped by the barn and played in the dirt for awhile. Then we rode him in the big truck, he decided he would help Papa drive, he loves to drive!!! It was so funny!

We got home and watched some television.   I thought I would just get on my lap top for a minute. Cayden was not having any of that. He fussed and got in my lap….got himself between me and the computer and flipped over in my arm just like you would hold an infant. He was sleepy and he will get in a zone when he is going to sleep. He just gazed up at me, then I sang him a few songs, stopped for a little while, then was going to start back up again….and with his eyes still closed he shook his head no!!!  LOL!!!

The Good Ole Show’s

I just watched “Flipper”! Oh the memories it brought back. One of my favorites!

As a child I also enjoyed….Daniel Boone, Gun Smoke, Lassie---and I cried until he came and sat back on that rock! LOL!!!

Family Affair!!!

Isabella

I kept Isabella for just a little while today. First thing she did when her Mom left….brought me my shoes and went to the back door and pointed. Aww, Cutie Pie!

But, we had to go to the post office and then on to Target. She was so good! We had a good time together.  Just to short of a visit.

We rode by the barn to talk to Papa a minute----she was wanting to get out of her car seat and go to him, but he was working and we had to get on our errands!!!

I remembered something that was due  today so I did not get to visit with her or her Mom quite as long as I would have liked! We will do it again!!!

Sunday Lunch

Well, we decided we would cook today…faint! WB went and bought a ham, I made rice, peas, mac and cheese and hot pineapple  dish. During the school year it is difficult to eat in the evening due to school days for one little girl at this time. It got us through another meal and we are thankful!

The afternoon was filled with laughing, screaming, fighting kiddo’s and poopie  diapers and bottles!

An alligator hunt! A golf cart ride which we were blessed to see two deer yearlings. I was so shocked and wanted Cayden to see them that all I could do was gasp with my mouth wide open. I knew if I had talked it would have scared them worse than they were. Cayla thought I was having a heart attack. LOL!!! She was saying, What, what!!!   Cayden did see them and I don’t think he knew what to make of them!!! He was pointing with his mouth wide open…lol!!!

A blessed day!
