The Day the lights went out in Morven!

Today I am just finishing up preparing for Easter dinner tomorrow. I am cooking and adding a few touches here and there.

We have a wedding late afternoon. A young man who we have known since he was a baby!!! So excited for him and his precious family!!! So I have to get things  done!

The tables and chairs are set up on the back porch when… I spot this lizard. For some reason I think he needs to be removed, since the porch is screened in and such…wouldn't want it to cause a stampede or anything!!!

There is a rocking chair right here, I have a wet cloth in my hand. I’ll just hop up here and smack at him, when he falls, I will put him outside. Right? WRONG!

This chair has a cushion in it, no problem, just a little swat that's all I need.  Up in the chair I go, need to inch a little closer……. take a step…….I believer the cushion flew and down we go (we as in chair and myself)! Backwards, not forwards! No way to catch myself!!! I hit the right side of my head near the base on the arm of a chair, I think about the same time my left rear cheek hit the concrete floor. Then the upper left arm and shoulder hit another chair on the way down!I know the concrete is near!
Finally…I have landed with a little bump to the other side of the head …..fade to black, not for long…..but fade to black!!!

Oh boy I am in some pain….and all I could think was, I need one of those buttons that I can press….” help, i have fallen and I can’t get up”! Yes I am laughing and hurting…..near about everything is hurting!!! That was stupid, really stupid!!!

I decided I would just stay put for a few minutes, the floor was clean, nice and cool. Then I looked up and what did I see…that stupid lizard just staring at me and I am sure he was laughing!!!  As I was sprawled out licking my wounds, I pondered, how long would I lay here before my husband came home? I decide I may as well  peel myself up off the concrete, because it would be awhile!!! I am sure the outline of my body is still embedded!!!LOL!!!

Lesson learned…no climbing in rocking chairs any more!!! And if you are scared of lizards, stay off the back porch.

Next time….shoot him Elizabeth!!!

Easter Egg Dying 2012

We are having our Easter Gathering, after Easter, as almost always!!!

We got together and dyed eggs this afternoon. It was so much fun! Lots of laughter and fun!

I will begin with the oldest (1) go to the youngest (4)!

Kylie has been sick, so she is not her normal “talkative”  self! Poor thing!!! But, she is trying to feel better! She seemed to have a good time though!

Number two----Isabella. She enjoyed herself very much! She liked dying the eggs and she liked putting the dye on herself!!! She could put those eggs right in the cup!

0413122

Number three-Cayden. He enjoyed the egg coloring also. He has become very independent and would just as well do it by himself! He liked “messing and dabbling” in it as my Mother would say!!! He also did not mind if there were a few eggs in the cup! He is very hands on!!!

0413123

Number four-Bentley, could care less at this point if he colored any eggs. As long as he is full, he is good! But we did take some pictures!!! And I even have a finger that was dyed!!!

If I can not feed myself…I will just not eat!

Our little Cayden man! He is trying to be so independent! He wants to feed himself and if you do not let him….he will just plain and simply, not eat!!! Little rascal!!!

I got a couple of new lenses for my birthday, so I am trying to get used to them as you can tell in the pictures below!

St George Island

We took a little day trip today. Girls day at the beach!!! Casey, Kylie, Isabella and myself. It was such a beautiful day and the girl had an awesome time playing.

At first Isabella did not want sand on her feet, so she stayed on the blanket. She did sit by me in the chair for a little while. But when she got a little taste of playing in the water, that was the end of no sand in between the toes-----she loved it!!! Back and forth with shells that Kylie had picked up, from the bucket to her Mom’s hand---at least an hour!!! She was so stinking cute!!!

Kylie was playing from the first second. She absolutely loved finding the shells and playing in the sand and water!!! Oh, and she loved all the boys! She had never seen so many boys in all one place in all of her life!!!

The beach was not crowded and I enjoyed that, but I oh so loved watching the girls enjoy themselves.

Thank you Casey for making this trip with me. It was so nice to spend time with you and your girls. Love you so much!!!

Grands 2012 2012-04-02

A quote from Kylie after going to the beach….hmmm!!!

Momma J, I hadn't ever seen so many boys in all my life! Said with the biggest smile you ever saw!!! Oh dear, we are in trouble!!! Her Papa is not going to like this at all!!! Bahaha!!!

Now I am on to why she was so willing to share her sand dollars!!!

Easter in 1991

Kylie and I were looking at some old pictures on my computer. She saw this one and asked me, “what's moma doing in this picture, is she dressed up in a costume for something?” LOL---NO, it was Easter!!! Tooooo funny!!! Through the eyes of a child and right out of the mouth!

011-001

Note: It is taking both of them to keep this little wiggle worm from escaping!!! The O (circle) of life, it just keeps on running.  Love my kiddo’s!

3/27/2012

I kept the boys and a puppy again today and oh boy was it a wild day!!! I know that I am re-living my Mothers life.

I remember her keeping Macie and Ally and them getting a puppy. I remember her telling me that one minute Macie was after the puppy and the next minute the puppy was after her! And that is exactly what I was doing yesterday!!! I finally put the dog in the bathroom!!!

Bentley was rather ill, who could blame him after three shots. He is also very stuffy, poor thing…and he will still look up at you and smile. He loves to eat!!! He also found his fists today! And he napped in his crib!!! I can just eat him up and I so see his Mom when I look at him!

Cayden was just in to every thing! At one point he was by me on the couch, I'm feeding Bentley when he decided he would play with the blind. I told him, no-don’t play with that…he just looked at me and kept on….I told him again, same scenario with a cute little smile (little Cayla)! I tapped him a little on the leg….no change. I told him that if he did not mind me then he could stand in the corner or go to his room ( his Mom puts him in the corner and he stands there, funniest thing ever)! He then cut his eyes to farthest part   of his eye, looked at me and pointed and said something I did not understand. Then,  proceeded to climb back on the couch,  sit down beside me for his time out. In a minute or two he reached over and loved me for his I’m sorry!!! Heart melt!!!

When I got ready to go home, he stood beside me and was waving bye to his Mom…lol! She said, oh no, I have not seen you all day and your not going bye-bye!!!

A great day, but these babies are for young peeps!!!

Bentley’s two month check up

Cayla started a temporary job today. And this sweet little baby had a drs appt. Hmm! Oh well, when you have no choice you just roll with it. I got Great-Gma to come over to Cayla’s and watch him for me. Bent and I took off and got their so we could wait for a long time! He was so good, bright eyed and cooing!

We got back and he weighed in at 11 pounds. His head was 15.75 and his height was around 26….I think! The poor thing is so stuffy and it looks like he is going to have allergies too! The Dr. said you could tell by the dark circles under his eyes! I laughed and said, “I have no idea where he gets those from.” The doctor looked at me, looked down and laughed and said, neither do I!!! I told him they had been passed down through generations…from the McGhee side of the family, (that would be my Dad’s, Mothers side of the family)…and that I sure did hate to pass that along, but it seems there is no stopping it. He laughed and said…well you could pass worse along, and them I thought of my eye that I have ambliopa in and cringed!!! I did not tell about that today…maybe the next visit!!! You know he thinks I am crazy….I agree!!!

Three shots later and a rx and we are headed home….poor baby!!! And I bet he will be irritable tomorrow!!!

Thanks G-gma for all the help!!! Your the best!!!

God bless all babysitters, daycares, teachers, and Grandparents over 45 who keep their grands…… they need blessing and energy, and then some!!! LOL!!! But oh how we love those babies!!! It takes a small army!!!

Dr Visit

Cayden had to go back for a regular visit. He got three shots, poor baby and he is still sick and running fever! WE are all so ready for him to feel better!!!  This was on Tuesday!

WB is very sick too, allergies are awful this year. The pollen count has broken records this year!

On Thursday, Bentley is back at it again also. Running fever….back to the office again!!! I met her and took Cayden and we went to Sams for a few minutes!

Now, Emmett has it again also!!!

People really need to stay home when they are sick to help keep from spreading all of this stuff. And some of what is going on is contagious!  But then, what do I know!!!

March 19th

Yep today is my birthday.

The day I came into the world to terrorize my parents!!! And I did just that…lol!! My older sister, Lynn….she would just sleep and lay in the bed so still! NO, No, No----not this chick! I did not sleep much and was never still and was into everything!!!

It was so bad, that my Daddy told my Mom to take me to the Dr. and tell him that if he could not give me something to help me sleep…then to give them something!!! Something had to give!!!

I think there we times I would just wake up in the middle of the night and play, when I was a toddler. Poor Dad and Mom, bet they wish they had only had one..heehee!!! I is so so sorry and if you could, please remember that medicine, I could sure try some of it now, cause that lack of sleep stuff, it done come back to haunt me again!!!

Life is funny like that…it is that circle thing….it just keeps coming around and around and around!!!

Sometimes, I think peeps that decide not to have any children or just one---they smart!!! But then there are those of us who decide to multiply and we have many happy and sad times…and are rewarded with those things called Grands!!! And that is the funniest, because that circle thing---it catches up!!!

I have done got plum silly!!!Bahaha!!!

WB asked me what I wanted for my birthday. Hmmm…..a new lens for my camera, I think! It took a while before I decided what I wanted to get! I read and pondered, pondered and read. Then, I decided it was time!

And these are what I decided on!!!

001-001

I really thought I would get another 50 mm(move money). But then, I had wanted a macro for several years so I decided to go with this 50 and the macro. I am enjoying both of them and am still getting use to working with them!

Thank you to the best hubby in the world! You are more than I ever deserve!!!

I also got a bird feeder and bird food from Cole and Josie. And money from Jenny, Martha and EB! A precious card from Cayla and family, hugs from so many! Thanks to each of you for remembering me on this day!

Funny thing….I had posted part of this before I ever got my lens, I had it posted on the wrong day…..old age???
