Definitely Time

After stopping by the mail box the other day and the door falling completely off, it was definitely time for a new one!!! Yes, I knew that we needed one & had looked at some but could not decide about the post. Plus, it was still working & I just kind of liked my big ole rusty one! So, I just kept comming home without one! Last night we decided we just had to get one so we went to Lowes & got it & a post! This morning we put it up, even put it in cement! After getting the mail out....we had a notice from the post master that our box needed some attention! Ha! That was an understatement! I will just have to remember when giving directions that I won't be able to say...just look for the rusty mailbox!!! I even splurged & sprayed the weeds & put out some pine straw...maybe I will put the numbers on this one! I bet the mail carrier will think she is at the wrong box!!

Heading Home

It is bitter sweet when you have to leave family behind. You leave one family to go back to another family. You want to stay, but you want to go! It was a fun weekend & I so appreciate sharing in a small way, some time with my niece & nephew, sister & brother-in-law. Thanks WB for encouraging me to go & take a few days off from the stress! I love you! David, Missy & kids, thanks for sharing a weekend with Aunt Jill, I really enjoyed everything! I did get a little turned around again when I tried to get back on to I-20!!! I also snapped a few pictures out the car window as I drove home!

SC Day Three

Off to school for the kids, sleep in for me, stay up to late at night! I decided I would stay another night & catch Dalton's ball game! Missy & I headed out to some Antique stores. Boy, did we walk down memory lane! We saw several items that were used during our childhood! I bought a glass juicer, we remember Mom making orange juice & lemonade with one of these. Childhood memories just came rushing back as we looked through the store. I also picked up a butter dish for Martha that was very pretty. We ate a burger at the Happy Frog, we were starving so it was good! Then it was time to go & pick Alex up from school. Dalton rides the bus home. Then we relaxed, enjoyed the kids & got ready to go to the game. We won! I enjoyed watching Dalton play & loved taking a few pictures!

SC Day Two

Went to church, ate Mexican...very good & thanks for lunch....chilled for a while & enjoyed the family! Missy & Alex were tired from such a busy week! David was tired from work, Dalton was bored & insisted someone take him fishing! Finally later on we ran him around to Murray Lake to fish. It was so relaxing & I enjoyed watching him fish. He does not like his picture taken, like Cole, but I did get a few! David cooked a delicious supper, then we watched Madagascar II. "I like um big, I like um chunky!" I also worked on their computer a little. We had another fun day!

SC Day One

Posted by Picasa Congrats from everyone after the recital. What a fantastic job they all did, I was truly amazed. This is definitely a form of art. It was a long day for these performers, as well as their Mothers! They had 2 shows! I was so proud of Alex. It was very hard to find her on stage, once you found her you had to keep you eye on her the whole time! Great job!

South Carolina Trip

I decided Friday afternoon that I would go and watch my niece perform at a ballet recital on Saturday. They have lived in SC for about a year & I had not been to visit in a while. Left around 5:30, found the quickest route, time wise and headed out. All was fine until I go on I-20 & got in to North Augusta....lots of construction. I also stopped by Sams to pick up a few items. Well, the detour signs we not that great & I spent a while trying to figure out how to get on I-20 East. I was not the only one trying to figure it out....except they were around 80 yrs old! Ha. Finally after about 45 minutes, I spotted a truck driving on a ramp that I thought was still closed....I began to look for the opening....just big enough to get your car through...no wonder we could not find it! They had quite a few of these....with a stop sign to get on the to the Interstate???? What??? Yep, its true! I did make it to their place in time to unload & get ready to go to the performance! David's parents had come down also, it was great to visit with them for a little...his Mom is so funny! We picked up flowers for Alex, found our way back to the auditorium..no comment...right Dalton...watched the first set, went to wild wings & ate, back to the second performance...then home. Thanks for the supper David & Missy!

Wisdom Teeth

Cayla had all of her wisdom teeth extracted today, she is doing surprisingly well, except for her tongue swelling a little more than others! Hope & pray it will not go south. Cole did well with his...had lots of swelling. Casey had a rough time...some swelling, I think she had a dry socket. Cayla has swelled more around her mouth instead of the jaw thus far! I have nursed several with wisdom teeth extractions....including Winston. Yes his came in after we married, started hurting on Thursday or Friday....would not call the DR! On Sunday, we called the DR....he took 2 out....a few months later....on Sunday, I do believe.....the other 2 were removed! I think that is enough nursing of wisdom teeth, am I any wiser from it....prob. not!!!

Engaged

Congrats to Bart & Casey on their engagement!! He asked her tonight, on one knee...I might add, what a sweet young man! Kylie wanted to know where her ring was! Ha! I must say God does say yes to some prayers. We have prayed that God would send someone, a Christian young man, that would be able to love Kylie as much they do Casey, and treat her as one their own. To be a good example of how ladies should be treated! We did not know who he would send, or when. But we prayed and he answered. We feel truly blessed and are so excited for them. Kylie loves Bart..who she calls Bark lots of times. Bart, welcome to this crazy family...but you already knew that! Ha!

Hearing

Took Kylie to the Dr. today for her post surgery visit. I got the time confused with another appt...we went at 9:30, instead of 1:30!!! We did not mind to much, we just went & visited G-Ma Bridges. Kylie told her she needed some lipstick...said she knew where it was & took off to get some! Then while sitting on the porch with G-Ma & Jen, she started laughing & said...she cracks me up! Martha thinks she must have been talking about Jenny Lynn. Funny girl! We got a good check-up & the fastest....it was about to rain. He asked how her hearing was, I said...I guess better...she told me that those birds needed to be quite..they were hurting her ears! After getting in the car, the flood came. Oh yes, she wanted the Dr. to check her eyes...they are running from allergy's.
Posted by Picasa Today when Papa got home we were out in the yard planting a few plants. Kylie quickly got Papa to check out something in the trees. He put her in one of them, she quickly told him to get her down...she was scared. Then she said...I not no squirrel, I not want to get shot. We have been killing a few squirrels, they are eating the house! It was so funny. Then he tried to coax her into climbing this tree with him....oh what Papa's will do for those grands!
