07/16-07/30 Lake Sinclair

We left for Lake Sinclair today. We usually go to Eufaula but no rentals open! It is an easier drive to E., no interstate! Winston does not like to pull anything down the I-S! He also does not like the traffic! Now Ca. & I are in the car, he is in the truck with the boat!!! We stopped by the clothing carnival on the way up and ate at Sonny's in Perry! We arrived at the lake, found the rental, now we need to find a ramp! We drove to Milledgeville & the directions said at the house. We did not have directions by water back to the rental, so we had to find directions for that. During this process, we talked to a guy who builds sea walls on the lake & he was kind enough to tell us there was one right close to the house! We followed him there & got the boat launched! Winston made it by boat faster than we could by car! This day was spent traveling & searching for the ramp. We wanted to go to the Bass Pro Shop back at Macon and we decided this would be a good time to do that, eat & get some groceries! We did just that! Went to the B. Pro and had a fun time. The murals in this place are awesome!! Cay. got a wake board & WB got a garmin for the boat! Now we search for food, ended up at a Pizza Hut! Then to Kroger, now back to lake. 07/17....WB up with the chickens, Cay & I sleep in. When WB tied the boat up last night the lake was full, this am, Ga. Power has dropped it 3 ft. This would not be a problem if the lift would have worked. But, instead we have 2 dents in the boat....needless to say we are not happy about this, but.....oh well! Winston & I go for a boat ride & check out the lake! All of the bridges that go over this lake are low! We had to let the top down to get under them! Cayla decided to ride her wake board...she got up on the 2 or 3rd try! She made it look easy! Went to Walmart. I cooked spaghetti for supper! 07/18....The rooster got up early again, went to Mil. & got some meat to cook for today! Off to the lake. We rode in the boat & swam. Cayla decided to ski early in the day. She was sitting on the edge of the boat, & as she was jumping in she said there goes a stick, that was a stick wasn't it? Well, no it is a snake....which when it hears her talking turns to swim toward her. Now bear in mind, WB & I can't tell what kind it is! I said get the boat between her & the snake...she is still putting her ski on saying "Mom its o:k, it's not gonna bother me, by now, the boat has drifted close to her. I had my one eye steady on the snake which had make his way to the back of the boat, she did not know this! I said....get your butt out of that water...he is right here at the motor!!! Boy howdy..you should have seen he shimmy up the side of that boat. WB grabbed her & pulled her on in, & I want u to know that snake climbed on the bottom of our motor, out of the water, but we could see him! I really thought we should let him have the boat!!! It was not a moccasin, we think it was an oak snake!! Now, we had to try & get it off the motor. We tried a ski, no....still there. We finally flushed him off with water we think! Well, that was the end of our swimming for today! WB went golfing & we went to the Mill. mall! We also went & sat in a parking lost & used our computers to check our email! 07/19......Cole & a friend came up for a couple of days. Stephen, Cole Cay, WB & me spent a few hours on the lake. Stephen wanted to ski, and boy did he. He wanted to go fast! He fell a couple of times while going fast, one time he wiped out so hard he ripped the side seam in his pants! He said he was practicing for Cypress Gardens!!! He also got up on the wake after several tries! Later in the afternoon Ky & Casey arrived! We missed that little girl!! WB grilled steaks, he also melted the ceramic tiles on the inside of that coleman grill, it uses a little green propane tank. Now let me tell ya, we have got some history with propane tanks...later. The smell was not pleasant, but the steaks were good! 07/20......Winston got up early & goes home to take care of payroll, Step., Cole fishing, girls at house just chilling. After lunch we hit the lake. Cas. & Cay rode the tubes, but Ky. did not like them out behind the boat!! She likes to ride slowly & enjoy the scenery. Late today Cas. leaves to go & get a puppy in Al. We keep Ky. for the night.Cole & Step head home. Bill Hart came & spent a night with us, he & WB went & played golf. Oh yes, the dryer quit drying & I think the washer is about to quit also...great! We just strung up a close line & hung them out!!! She will get new ones out tomorrow or Sunday! 07/21....We played in the lake with Ky. Lot's of traffic on lake today.....causes waves to come to the shore, Ky. told the waves to stop! She can't play with the fish Pa Pa bought her because of them! Casey returned with Sidney, the new puppy, Ky. is excited & wants to carry her around...upside down! 07/22....Cas & Ky. head back home, Ky. goes to her Dad's for a week. Cas. had to go back to work. Lake is busy today. I am working on invoicing for Cole's business. 07/23.....Finish up invoice, go & find the Post Office, WB golf. 07/24......WB golf, Cay & I went to Eatonton to the Uncle Remus house, a shopped a little. 07/24.....Lake Day....Jerry, Beth & Lilly came to the lake & spent the afternoon with us.Cay. skied, Beth & I rode the tubes, Jer tried to throw us off but we held on!Lilly rode the knee board for the first time & cousin Cay. helped her & stayed at the shore until we got back. Lilly was looking back to see if Cay. was watching! To cute! We had a great visit with them, but missed Sara & Grace, they were at camp! 07/25.....Cay. & I went to Macon mall....WB playing golf with Jerry. On the way we found a sports good store, go us a couple of knee boards, ours are worn out. Ate a Ruby Tuesday, shopped from 11-2:00 for school clothes. Then back to Bass Pro to pick a a holder for the Garmin, shoes, shirt. Back to lake, go to Reynolds Plantation to eat with Beth & Jerry . Saw Mom Betty & enjoyed visiting with her. Had a great meal and a great visit! Got in the hot tub & the pool. I must say I was sore from riding the tube! 07/26....WB-golf, Cay & me hang at house. Later rode the knee boards, skied, wake board, I even decided i would try the wake board, no i did not get up but i tried!!! Got a call from Booda tonight , one of the employees is sick. WB & Cay. decide to go home & check on him, must come home to do payroll again anyway! They left it was stormy. Got home around 11:30. I could not sleep so i got a chance to scrape book . I made one for a friend who just had her 60th b-day! Employee taken to the Quitman first aide station, said he has reflux ! 07/27.....They returned around noon, brought Cay. boyfriend, Austin. Boating again! Riding on the lake! We went & ate at the Brick in downtown Milledgeviile, it was good. I had a bill to put in the mail, Austin walked it across the road. We took the car over to pick him up. Another car pulled in before me & stopped at the drive which left us out in the road! WB had a heart attack thinking we were going to get hit! Then he was irritated with the car in front of us!!!He! 07/27.....WB-golf. Later boating. We went to Lake Dogs & ate lunch, they bring you food to the boat! More swimming! 07/28....Bill H & Sandee came by & visited with us. Boating again! 07/29.....Boating, getting packed up to go home! 07/30....Travel home......Ky. will come back today!!! Nice Vacation.....back to the grind.....will take 3 weeks to catch up!!! More photo's on link to picasa!

I am doing a faux finishing job for Pat Price. She let some Mexicans come & remove wall paper from her half bath....not a good idea, they took a lot of the wall with them! I will give her a texture to help camouflage the damage! Really do not have time to do this, but it's money! We are getting ready to go on vacation!

Today we had to put tubes in Kylie's ears! Time we arrived at the Hospital she knew something was up!!! First thing, she did not want the ID bracelet on her foot! Second thing, she did not want them to take her vitals!!! She fussed about that ID bracelet more than anything!!! When they left the room, I took it off until they came back! They gave her something to make her sleepy, did not work very well. Then they came & took her & she surely did not like that!! It did not take any time to put them in. When she came back, we heard her coming down the hall! She was still out of it a little, she cried for an hour & would go from her Mom to me!! We were so glad to get her in the car & go home. She still cried off & on, but I hope it will help the ear infections. She has battled them since early after her birth!! The antibiotics they give her for them would just cook her bottom, so we especially hope it works!

Today I kept my nieces! Kylie was very excited to have her cousins to play with. We got out the Barbie rv & we had 1 big Barbie ride in it!!! We had a fun time & I enjoyed spending time with them!

Happy birthday EB!!! We gave him a digital camera. Martha said he needed one so he would leave hers alone!!!!Hee! Now they are high-tech rednecks like the rest of us!

Today we went to the bowling ally for Macie's b-day party. It was lots of fun. Her cake was too cute!!! She had a great party. Happy Birthday Macie! Love you!

01/5-7/2007 Vegetable Convention

This year Winston & I went to the annual Vegetable Convention in Savannah Georgia. It was also our 24th year anniversary. We enjoyed the weekend & would like to return in future years. Savannah is a beautiful town, but hard to get around. We took the ferry across the river & ate. We also walked up river street & enjoyed the shops. I was amazed at the huge barges that came through. They were so close!!!

03/04/2006 Happy Birthday Kylie

Well,today God blessed our family with a baby girl, Kylie Nicole! The friday before you were born, your Mom & I went to her doctor visit. Then to Aunt Ca Ca's soccer game. Next we went & ate at Austin's Steak House. Your Mom was having labor pains as we ate. Your Pa pa kept saying they were braxton hicks. Not at delivery time!!! Well I drove your Mom to the hospital, she told your Dad to finish his meal & then come. They kept her until around 2:00 am. Then sent her home. I stayed with her & helped her,to & from the restroom. She was up & down all night. Finally at 5:00 we got up, gave her a shower, went back to the hospital. I told your Dad to eat & come on up when he finished eating. We got in the room & progress began!Finally you arrived!!!! A healthy baby girl! The first thing they said, we think she has her nannie ma's nose! Lots of family & friends came by to see the new bundle of joy! Pa Pa & I were so proud of you and thankful for a safe delivery!!! I was so blessed by being present at your birth. Watched you take your first breath and handed you to your Mom. Truly a little miracle!! You had many visitors! I appreciate so much the joy of watching you arrive into this great big world! Thank-you Mom for sharing this great miracle with me! You did a fantastic job and God has truly blessed you! I am proud of you! Love Mom

I was in Augusta Georgia having surgery. Yes, Casey & I drove up on the 10th for pre-op. I was supposed to drink this awful tasting white stuff, a whole jug. Well, that was not happening, I tried....but I called the DR. when I went to the local pharmacy & talked to them. He gave me an alternative & I was happy to take him up on it! WB & Helen drove up later that night. Bless his heart, he is up to his neck in produce at this time, I told him he did not have to come, but he was coming! When I went into surgery everything was fine, except they kept putting this other ladies chart on my bed & calling me her. I kept saying....I am not her, I am Ronna Jill Bridges & I am here for a hysterectomy, I do not know what she is having, but I am here for....you know! I did tell them to please put her chart with her, where ever she is! I would not let them give me anything until they moved that chart. I told them she may be having her leg removed or something & I don't want that removed. Every nurse that came by my bed, I would say, miss....that is not my chart...you get the picture. They finally moved it as they were laughing at me & then I got me some good sleep. I slept most of the day, every time I woke up, Helen was watching the same movie. (WB & Casey had driven back home to get back to work.) My wonderful Mother-in-law stayed to help me & bring me home! Anyway, each time I woke up & focused on the t.v., all day...the same movie was on...yes, I was on the drugs from the surgery & had no clue what was going on!! Finally, later on in the day, Helen saw me looking at the tube...she told me that terrorist had flown planes into the world trade center, I said where is that? She laughed & said, go back to sleep & rest honey!!! I really had a hard time believing this had happened, but for the next 3 days that was all that was on the tv. While in the hospital, Helen was a great nurse! They had a pan in the potty for me to catch my tinkle, but they never came to look at it or empty it, I told Helen it was pretty full and would be running over before long. She finally just emptied it herself! Then they told me they would come & help me get a shower, well...we waited for a long time but they never came...so Helen & I just did it ourselves. The bad thing was, we got tickled about her needing to be put on their payroll. If u have ever had surgery....u know u do not want to laugh after it!!! But everything seems to be funny....must be the drugs! We were really tickled & boy did that hurt, I even told her she was gonna have to shut-up cause I was dying...laughing & hurting!!! I was also very hungry & thirsty....liquid diet from the surgery....not fun. I kept wanting to drink & eat! Helen would go down to the nurses desk & tell them I would like something to drink or eat, she went so much she said...I think they think I am drinking & eating this instead of you!!! Yep, I got tickled again!!! Later we went for a walk, I was hungry again, it was late at night, I could smell the food from their station. I went right to them, asked them what they had good to eat, they had a chocolate cake.....can u believe that...I am starving & they have cake. I asked them if I could have some, they laughed & said the Dr. had liquid diet in my chart, no duh!! I said, well do you have any chocolate ice cream or something....they did & I got some & it was soooo good!!!! Yep, we were nearly rolling in the floor laughing. On the way home, I am in my gown & robe..bedroom shoes..& messy hair...I am laying down in the back of the car. Well, I had to tell Helen how to get home off & on and I had to stop & go to the potty. We stopped at a store, no one was in the parking lot at the time we pulled up. I get out, shuffling my feet...go in, tell the lady to please excuse my appearance...had surgery...need to use the restroom! Too many people came in before I could get out of their, but I did not care! We made it home, the dirt road was rough, but I was glad to get home!! A big thank-you is just not enough appreciation for my friend....Helen!!! She was great!!!
