Mural at church classroom

Yesterday & today i spent at Central adding another mural to the kiddo's classrooms. It was relaxing and fun.

Portraits

I think these pictures are a little better than the other ones. Kylie loves the one with the butterflies!

Portrait Class

I signed up to take a portrait class a few months ago. The closer the class got, the more apprehensive I became! Why did I sign up to do this, why do I do this to myself? I had a problem with baby sitter's, but that worked out! The day before class, I was walking & praying! I just asked for some peace about this class! Ask & you shall receive! I did get some peace & I am glad I went! It was a bit stressful for me as I have only worked with acrylics for the most part, not oils! Well, here are my results from my class! I still have one more thing to do to this paintings but must wait 2 days or so! Wow! I did learn a lot & I am not as apprehensive about the oil paints. They are expensive though!!! A big thank-you & hug for my awesome husband who supports me in all of my crazy adventures. He is a great provider and husband and words just do not express how much I appreciate him.

Re-screening the Porch

A big ole huge Thank-you to Emmett for re-screening my back porch! He came Friday & today. We completed the project with a helper today. I appreciate him coming so much! WB is not a handy man around the house! I was tending to Kylie & helping..oh my...what a task! She wanted to help & ask Granddaddy what he was doing! I love to sit on my porch & enjoy the outdoors without the skeeters! Oh yes, & Kylie was getting attack by the love bugs today, she did not know what to think about these bugs & she did not like them at all! Too funny! She got to paint today while sitting on the porch!

9/14/2008

Church today: First, Kylie has had some allery problems & has been coughing. A friend of mine was sitting beside us, Ms. Shirley Dame came over to talk to Kylie. She was stoking Kylies hair and talking to her. Kylie was turned facing Georgianna, just a smiling, had just drank some chocolate milk, had it in her mouth still & had to cough. Well, poor Georgianna got chocolate milk coughed all over her. Thank goodness she wore a black dress today. I mean there were sprinkles on her hair, face, dress & legs! I felt so bad. So glad for wet wipes! After the opening prayer the guy said Amen....Kylie said, "Amen"....out loud! She did not stop there. In a few minutes she was telling us to get her out da here! "Get me out da here", she said! Needless to say everyone around us was laughing! What a Sunday!!

Remember 9/11 What were you doing?

I was having surgery on this day in Augusta...see blog 09/11/01. When this happened of course all trading & selling ceased. Our farm was affected by this, extremely! We were picking bell pepper & ended up getting .50 a box for some of our pepper! That took care of the price of the box!!! God has seen us through this, he is always there! He is with all the families who lost loved ones on this day! God Bless the USA! WE need it!!!

Monkey PJs

After church I did my weekly shopping at Walmart, normally Sam's. Kylie has grown out of her some of her clothes. I found some Denim shorts for $4.00! I also found a pair of cute monkey pjs. I showed them a Kylie Monday night, just before she fell asleep on the couch, she loved them. Tuesday morning she was as happy as a lark, being so sweet. She tried on all of her clothes, even her big girl panties...tinkerbell & princess...she wet them within 15 min. of putting them on. We were walking to the barn so she could show Papa her new dud's. I tried to get her to potty before we left....I fine. Then...tinkle time. She is not interested!!! When we came back from the barn, she said....I put on my monkey's, which she wore most of the day.

A 2 year old who knows where she is going?

Kylie must have a great sense of direction. The other day we went to Hahira, as we started home she began to fuss. Not go that way, I don't want to go this way, go the other way. She did not want to go back toward our house!! As we got closer home, she continued to fuss! She would tell me again, I not want to go this way! Who knows what is going in her mind, she usually does not want to leave the house. I will ask her if she wants to go to the grocery, no, I fine!

Kylie

Kylie is a character. I must blog this so I don't forget. When she came home Monday night she was not happy. Grannie Connie usually takes Kylie to the park. She did not get to this time & Kylie was pouting. She came on the back porch & told me she wanted to go to the park. I said we can go right here to the park, you have a swing & a slide, she did not like it, but took me up on it. After a while we came inside, she wanted Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets...she also wants to go inside now, her Mom took her to the playground! Her excuse is...she does not want to get her clothes dirty. She also told us she wanted Pizza, I told her I had some in the freezer & I would fix it for her. She informed me she did not want that kind....she wanted Pizza Hut....I have never taken her to Pizza Hut!!! She is ROTTEN!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend

We decided to stay home this year & let our employee off so he could enjoy the weekend. Kylie was at her Dad's side of the family. Friday night we took Cayla & Austin to eat at the Ravine. It was so good. Except the salad, now the only reason it was not good was because I got choked on a small...tiny piece of spring lettuce!!!! I am talking major, not getting much air!!! It was the first bite so I still had a mouthful of lettuce. I knew I was in trouble, but I had to get out of the restaurant...I did take my napkin with me...guess why!! I know gross, but now I am gasping for air & getting very little!!! I walked straight to the door to go outside, trying to cough it up, not working..I remember thinking..can I drive myself to the hospital like this....I was not going back in the Ravine, choking! Cayla, Austin & WB were looking for me. O:K, if I am not in the ladies room...come & hunt me outside...Cayla did, but did not see me. All I could do was just keep walking, she did not walk on out & around the corner. I just finally did the finger removal & coughed until it finally came out!!! It was very small, needless to say. Yes, you can go ahead & laugh, it is funny. Thank goodness the Ravine was not busy, just two more tables with people at them so I was only embarrassed twice! My throat was still scratchy Saturday. It may be awhile before I eat the ravine salad again. Lynn & Lindsey came in & we visited with them a little Sunday. Monday I sewed on my new machine. It was a nice weekend.
