Kylie goes to Open House

Today we took Kylie to open house. I am glad for her, but sad for me. I know that she will love it and needs to play with others! 

Notice she had to take her teacher some fake flowers, sweet girl!

Oh, finally…I get to meet my teacher and give her some flowers.

Kylie asked her teacher if she would take a picture with her….I have never seen Kylie turn on a smile like this one!!! Kylie’s teacher was also Cayla’s K-5 teacher, and we could not be any more excited!

  

And Mom was making sure she got all the info that Kylie needed! Thanks for letting me tag along and record this fun night!

August Birthday Dinner

 

August has many birthdays for our family. Mom, Bart, Cayla and Katie are our birthdays for this month. We had a family dinner to celebrate them all at one time. We had a little bit of everything…..pork chops, steaks, and shrimp…..baked and sweet potato’s, peas etc. For dessert…cake and ice cream, of course!!! Happy Birthday to all of you!   And a Happy Birthday to Todd way up there in Tennessee too! His is on the 15th! 

Last Day in Maryland

I must say  that we were sad to have to leave such good friends. I have not laughed so much in a long time and I am so thankful to the Kings and The Bobbitt's for making it so much fun. To Dean and Tammie….thanks so much for having all of us and taking time out of your lives to spend with us and for sharing your lake house with us…it was great!  Also Dean, I am so glad you took care of Dee’s toe….if we had to hear about that toe just one more time….just kidding! I know that it was painful!

WB and I decided we would go ahead and make the trip back to the Pittsburg airport with traffic and such…and not really knowing where we are going!!! We left around 8:30 and headed back. We go there around 11:30. We stayed at the airport and they suggested we go ahead and gas up the car and return it….they charge 40.00 for parking. We did as she suggested! Got back to our room around 12:45. 

Our flight left around 9:00 heading back to Charlotte. On the flight from Charlotte to Jacksonville we switched seats with some foreigners since they could not speak English, they could not sit by the exits. Let me just say,  that the flights were packed….each one! They are also charging for your baggage. You are allowed a carry on, plus a purse or computer bag….or camera bag, at no charge!!! WB did not believe me, but I was right…..he had to pay for the bag he did not carry on!!!

Back to the seat changing…when I changed seats, my phone fell out of my pocket and I did not know it! As we were landing, we began to search for my phone..no luck. I told WB to go ahead and I would look in the other seat. He tells the flight attendant and  she gets on the pa…..a lady at mid-plane has misplaced her phone, anyone seeing it she will appreciate your help….oh wow, thanks lady! I had given up and she said, no go back and pull the seats up….I did and there it was!!! I said, I got it and she said….great and now you know how to pull the flotation up if you ever need it! We laughed and I thanked them!

Off to find WB and the car! WB-check, now he has to remember where he parked the car! Car-check! Safe trip home-check and thank-you Lord for a safe trip. Now, where is my Kylie!!!

Maryland Day 4

We decided yesterday that we would go to Swallow Falls. We did a lot of walking, some of us anyway. We also ate at the Sante Fe Grill. It was very good, but the funniest was the bear outside….we just could not resist…..riding a bear! Once again….way to much laughing!

Ok…Dean decided he wanted a new flat screen. They took the old one which still worked, out by the trash….covered it and put a sign that read…..free to a needy family….still works! Well, Dee really wanted to take it home, but they came in her car and it would not fit. Mickey kept telling her they did not need it. They kept bouncing it back and forth…..Mickey said, now look…it says that it is free to NEEDY people, well I guess we need to look needy……so…..

Dean and Tammie’s Dog---Dewey

Mickey said that this really is not a dog, it is a pony. He told them the people that sold him to them pulled their leg!!! LOL!

He is massive and I can not remember his breed, but they are used to chase Loins and such! Winston worked with him on fetching….he is not a fetching dog and it was quite funny as we watched out the window. When WB would come bring him back inside he would whine through the window and try to get WB’s attention!   Everyone that see’s Dewey stops to take another look. The hair down the middle of his back grows the opposite way!
