Defense
Saturday I made it to Ally’s game. Missed Macie’s, found out to late…but I will try and make it to the next one! I was impressed with some of the rules this league used for this age group. You will notice that they have a velcro strip on their jersey. Each player’s is matched to the girl they are to play against. This makes it easier for them. Clever! They can only pick them up at half court, good for this age. Here are a few pictures of Ally playing, she did a good job and I was so proud of her. The other girl laughed at her being so short, but when she took the ball away from her a couple of times…I think the respect went up just a little! In one of the pictures you can see Ally’s sleeve where she just did a little sneaking up on her and took the ball!!! And notice the stars on the sleeves, they receive one each time that represents something good..can not remember them so I will list those later.
Snoring
Kylie spent the night Tuesday and Papa got to sleep before we did. Well he was having some good sleep and letting in roll. He talked in his sleep a little and Kylie asked him what he said, she told him she could not hear him and got a little closer with her ear. He mumbled a little more, she got a little closer. Of course he was not making any sense, finally, she just got up and put her ear to his mouth and said…WHAT DID YOU SAY PAPA???? It was so funny….her hair tickled his face a bit and he moved his head back and forth, but it did not bother him much!!! Kylie could not go to sleep with this noise. I moved his arm a few times thinking this might work, but it did not. Then, after a while I told her to move his arm. She sat up grabbed his ole heavy arm and really moved it around. She laid back down with her face right next to mine and in a minute she said….Mema J, I don’t think that worked, he’s louder. We finally decided to go and sleep on the couch!!!
Happy Birthday Emmett
Today is a one special day for one special person….my pa-in-law! To a very special man that I love bunches!!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! 70…yee haw!!!
Guess who is spending the night, again???
Yep, little miss Kylie!!! She can demolish a clean house in no time flat!!! My motto…why even try & pick it up??? Except after a day or so ….I can not stand it any more!!! Well, sometimes more than a day or so could go by!!!
Framed
Kylie has always gotten on my bed with her pencils, pens and paper. After getting a new spread that is white and black, I told her she could not get on the bed with these items or with her shoes on. She agreed and has not forgotten. I told her that we could turn down the top spread if she wanted to write and then it would be fine.
The other night she comes to my office and tells me that Papa is on my bed & that he is going to get it dirty. Then she ran off toward our room. I decided I better go & see what she was doing. Well, there sat Papa as innocent as could be at the end of the bed. He had just had a shower and was clean as a whistle. He was watching T.V. and she was trying her best to put my black shoes on his feet, which were propped up on the footboard. He had no clue that he was being framed!!! I can see many spankings in the future for this kiddo! But it was so funny!
Christmas Coke
Yes, that is what Kylie call’s this….she will tell me that she wants some Christmas Coke! At first I did not know what she was talking about, then she showed me!
Cupcakes
Today we decided to make a batch of cupcakes. Kylie wanted chocolate, so that is what we made. She also wanted to put sparklies on them. She licked the bowl and the beater, then decorated her cupcakes. Then she decided she would eat one. She told me that it was really yummy and that she liked them. Then she walked over and held up her hand and said….high five Mema J. This kid really likes to cook and make me laugh!
Camera Broken
I am so not happy that my camera broke……even though I was getting ready to up grade! It is just making me make a decision quicker than I wanted. I received my rebel as a gift from the hubby around 6 years ago…and have used it lots!!! I am going to send it off and get it cleaned and the flash fixed….but I will miss it, it has been a part of me for so long, recorded family memories, how will I part with it….I have never even had it cleaned…maybe that is why it needs to go to the shop!!! Oh well….now I will have to learn to use another camera….read the manual a zillion times….tired just thinking about it!
