Fun at the Orchard

Here are some funny photos…notice Alex in the first photo and note the apple sign to the far left..pink sweater…pink lady apples. Kylie and I share an apple. Mom with her double protection sunglasses giving the 0:k sign and eating an apple with no hands as Dalton hides from the camera. And Kylie still picking apples to put in her basket!

 

 

Pull that wagon!

The wagon was heavy, go Dalton! Cayla stepped in to help, then Kylie tried, but was pulling Cayla’s pants down, notice hers are also falling down!  Alex gave Kylie a lift. Mom is stopping to rest a bit, she tried to flag down a ride, but the guys just kind of laughed. Two of our bunch said…if I had know it was going to be this much work, I would have stayed at home!!! Hee haw! Fun times!

Picking Apples

Kylie loved the orchard and did not want anyone else putting apples in her basket! I love the picture of her sweet little hand picking her first apple!

Sky Top Orchard

We stopped for gas on the way and a bite to eat. Arrived at the orchard, found out that most of the apples that were close to the store had been picked, so we would have to walk a ways to get apples…and over some hills, I might add! We got some baskets, and a wagon and then headed out. We were so thankful for Dalton, he pulled the wagon for us...it was pretty heavy empty! Thanks Dalton!!!

On our way to the Apple Orchard

Missy let the Dowdy kids take a field trip instead of  school on Friday. We were so excited that they came with us. We traveled to Flat Rock NC to visit the Sky Top Orchard. Here we are on our way!   Alex took a nap, she was tired form lots of activities…volleyball for one. She reminds me of her Mom in this aspect.

Missy could always sleep…sure wish I was more like that!
