The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we went to Mark's Pumpkin Patch. I wanted Kylie to be able to pick her own pumpkin. We invited her cousins to go. Kevin drove while we watched a couple of Halloween movies. One of them was the It's The Great Pumpkin Patch, Charlie Brown....bring back any memories!!! We had a great time and Kylie was so excited to share the day with her cousins. They made it more fun for her!! So glad they could go. I will post slide show shortly!

The Girls in College

I am so excited today as both of our girls started their fall quarter of classes today. They may end up changing their course of study, but I just want them to get some type of higher education, or a trade. You just don't know if it is the right area for jobs. We will just have to pray that God will guide them in the way he wants them to go!

Breakfast on the Porch

Today, Kylie had breakfast on the porch, Aunt Ca Ca & Mom joined her for a bit! As you can see, as they are blessing the food, Kylie did bow her head, but just could not wait for the blessing! She just needed one bite...Ca Ca must have been waiting for it, busted!!! Too cute!! Kylie used the potty today, when we told her Mom...Kylie said, "Are you gonna give me an ice cream cone?" Well, we sure will, whatever it takes for her to use the potty!!!!

Mural at church classroom

Yesterday & today i spent at Central adding another mural to the kiddo's classrooms. It was relaxing and fun.

Portraits

I think these pictures are a little better than the other ones. Kylie loves the one with the butterflies!

Portrait Class

I signed up to take a portrait class a few months ago. The closer the class got, the more apprehensive I became! Why did I sign up to do this, why do I do this to myself? I had a problem with baby sitter's, but that worked out! The day before class, I was walking & praying! I just asked for some peace about this class! Ask & you shall receive! I did get some peace & I am glad I went! It was a bit stressful for me as I have only worked with acrylics for the most part, not oils! Well, here are my results from my class! I still have one more thing to do to this paintings but must wait 2 days or so! Wow! I did learn a lot & I am not as apprehensive about the oil paints. They are expensive though!!! A big thank-you & hug for my awesome husband who supports me in all of my crazy adventures. He is a great provider and husband and words just do not express how much I appreciate him.

Re-screening the Porch

A big ole huge Thank-you to Emmett for re-screening my back porch! He came Friday & today. We completed the project with a helper today. I appreciate him coming so much! WB is not a handy man around the house! I was tending to Kylie & helping..oh my...what a task! She wanted to help & ask Granddaddy what he was doing! I love to sit on my porch & enjoy the outdoors without the skeeters! Oh yes, & Kylie was getting attack by the love bugs today, she did not know what to think about these bugs & she did not like them at all! Too funny! She got to paint today while sitting on the porch!

9/14/2008

Church today: First, Kylie has had some allery problems & has been coughing. A friend of mine was sitting beside us, Ms. Shirley Dame came over to talk to Kylie. She was stoking Kylies hair and talking to her. Kylie was turned facing Georgianna, just a smiling, had just drank some chocolate milk, had it in her mouth still & had to cough. Well, poor Georgianna got chocolate milk coughed all over her. Thank goodness she wore a black dress today. I mean there were sprinkles on her hair, face, dress & legs! I felt so bad. So glad for wet wipes! After the opening prayer the guy said Amen....Kylie said, "Amen"....out loud! She did not stop there. In a few minutes she was telling us to get her out da here! "Get me out da here", she said! Needless to say everyone around us was laughing! What a Sunday!!

Remember 9/11 What were you doing?

I was having surgery on this day in Augusta...see blog 09/11/01. When this happened of course all trading & selling ceased. Our farm was affected by this, extremely! We were picking bell pepper & ended up getting .50 a box for some of our pepper! That took care of the price of the box!!! God has seen us through this, he is always there! He is with all the families who lost loved ones on this day! God Bless the USA! WE need it!!!
