11/01/2007 Meet the Generals Night

Well, we started Nov. off with a bang! Casey had to be at the doctor at nine for and endo. They stretched her esophagus again! Grandma Bridges had a hair appt. at 11:30. She met us at the office, got Kylie, gave her some breakfast and then took her to the park. Kylie had a great time. We were out by 11:00! This was great, I did not want Martha to miss her hair appt., it is hard to get in these day's and find the time to go!! But, it all worked out. We left there, gassed up the car and went to pick up Cayla's dress! We got home around 2:00. Kylie took a nap & then we had to the school for Meet the Generals night. They introduce each player on each ball team. They also had a little scrimmage. Hard to believe Cayla is a senior, time has gown by way to fast!!

10/29/2007

When your Mom came home today, you asked where's kitty? Now bear in mind, you had a paci in your mouth. We could not understand you, your not talking very plain as of yet! I took your paci out, & you said, where's kitty? You pointed to your Mom, then to yourself, you said, "me" and rubbed your stomach. Then patted your Mom's head. It hit me...you were wanting to know where her cat ears were. She was a cat at the party!!!! Too funny!!

10/28/2007 Hampton Party

Missy Hampton hosted a party for the Christian group at the college. She invited various ages. They had a chili cook off, pumpkin carving, costume judging and a hay ride. She invited our family to come along. Kylie, Casey & I made an appearance. Everyone had fun, we did not take Ky. on the hay ride, it was cool. I did take some pictures of some of the guest! Ky. had a great time running around & pulling on her Mom's tail! She wore her Jo Jo costume, without the wig. She really did not like her Mom's mask!

10/27/2007 Central Trunk or Treat

Our church had their trunk or treat tonight. There were games, costume contest, hot dogs, pictures and treats!!! Many cars decorated their trunks just like it would be on their porch! It was pretty neat. You were Cinderella. You bowled with pumpkins, picked up ducks, went fishing, ring toss, bean bag toss and rope tossed. You also put the balls in the pumpkin, but you wanted to take the pumpkins with you! When it was time for you picture you really did some posing!!Everyone got a kick out of it! Your Mom, you and myself ate, joined in the costume parade, you played & played! Then I stayed at our trunk and gave out candy while you & Mom trunk & treated! It was a lot of fun, but you just can't beat the old door to door Halloween!!! I forgot to write about the little boy you accidentally ran by & knocked down. You were running & ran in to him, he fell down. He looked up at his Dad about to cry, waiting for his Dad to help him. His Dad looked at him & said "Boy what ya looking at me for? Your bigger than her & your still lying on the ground!" He was laughing! I was right there & I did help up. Kylie turned around & said, "I sorry" I sorry! I think his Daddy is trying to toughen him up, just send over to Kylie!

10/26/2007 Fall Festival

Tonight we took you to the Fall Festival where Aunt Ca Ca goes to school. You had a fun time. All you wanted was a ball, ball!!!You picked a pocket, picked up ducks, played & ran around. When people gave you your prizes, you would say...thanks..with your paci. in your mouth!! Ashley Carter gave you a ring that lights up & you really liked it too! Aunt Ca Ca & her class were in charge of the haunted house. G-Gma took Aunt Jenny in it. There were 2 sections. You had to come out on the porch after the first one & enter the second section. When Jen came out she ran out onto the porch, down the steps. She said, she could not go back in there, they have got chain saws!! She took off around the corner! Too funny!!! A big thank-you to Granddaddy for making a casket for Cayla. Also, a huge thank-you to Grandma for helping with Kylie while I took some pictures!!!

10/20/2007 A Saturday with Mom

Well, today I spent the day with my Mom. We went to Sam's, then to Hobby Lobby, the mall and then to visit Aunt Jean. She was in her bed when we got there. We stayed & talked. She told us that she had scooted to the end of her bed & got out, her feet slipped & she fell up against the wall, said she was there around 3 hours, the nurse said about an hour. She was fine, not hurt! But she now has a mat under her that will sound a beeping noise if she gets up or moves around to much! She got the nurse to get her up & in the wheel chair. We took her down to a sun room for a while, then she asked us if we wanted to go outside. Well, she wanted to! I went & asked how to get her outside. Here we go, she wants to go & see the pond. Well, we wheeled her out the only way we knew. It was at an entry way, drop off area. We could see the pond a little. Mom & I sat down in the rockers, it was a little chilly. She sat there a few minutes, then she said, this is not where I was last time!Hee! I asked a employee if we could get her any closer to the pond, she said we could take her down the sidewalk. Then the girl asked her if she was talking about the goldfish pond, yeah that's it!Hee! Here we go, we finally got there & it was very nice & pretty, lots of goldfish!!!We stayed a little while longer, then we had to go so Mom could get her medicine before the RX closed. We took her back to the nurse station, that is where she stays a lot because she wants to get up by herself. She is taking walking therapy 3 times a week! She wanted us to stay longer & we wished we could. She teared up when Mom hugged her bye! We enjoyed seeing her & hope she will get some of her strength back!

Winston & I went to Perry Fl to the funeral home. A friend of ours lost his brother, in his 40's, they think is was a heart attack. We enjoyed our time riding and catching up on what has been going on off the farm! This is his harvest time so he is up 5:00 and home at 12:00 or later, sometimes earlier. We were hoping to find a good seafood restaurant. We stopped at one & they were to busy to even seat us....short on waitresses. We decided to go to a place called Rosie's. The sign said buffet from 6:00-9:00. Well, when we walked in around 8:00, no one came over to seat us. The sign said "wait to be seated". Finally a girl told us to sit any where. We got our paper plate & headed to the food bar. I wish you could have seen what was left on the bar....nothing....what was there, was cold. The waitress said, there's not much there, you may not want any of it. It has been there since 5:00! NO, I don't...I want some fresh food!! We should have left...but the cook threw a few fresh shrimp on & we ate a few of those! The salad bar was next to nothing also!!! Well, we were ready to leave saw the waitress & told her, she said she would get the bill. We waited & waited, where did she go? WB stood up & looked, there she was sitting in a booth eating her supper!!! We paid our $40.00 & left. I will say the tea was fairly good! Now folks let me tell ya, if I ever own a restaurant & the food bar runs out, and you have nothing to eat....I am not going to charge you...at least not full price. This is a memory we will laugh about for a while!!! If you are in Perry FL.....don't go to Rosie's!!!

10/17/2007 Expo

Today Papa & I took you to the Expo. I remember taking all of our children as they grew. We have only missed a few years. The Expo is held in Moultrie GA. It takes about 30-45 minutes from our house. It promotes the farming industry. New equipment, animal exhibits, plane rides, big tractors, the list goes on! We took you mainly to see the animals. Farms are so different now. Many do not have animals. Only a few raise hogs, chickens, etc. It's just not like it use to be. We live a fast pace & do not have time for animals. Besides someone has to feed them!!!! Feed is expensive. I really think we are missing out on the good ole days! Any way, we put you in your stroller & just rolled you right up to those big ole cows. You looked at them, then at me and grinned!! I asked you what the cow said, and you told me! Papa was so proud to take you, it was his idea, he wanted you to see the animals! He took off of work a couple of hours, left it with Uncle Cole! We saw horses, goats, sheep, pigs, alpaca's, lama's, bulls, heifers. My favorite thing was the "got milk?" truck. They had calves & momma cows, they are called Holstein's which are milking cows! They had a semi-trailer set up so they could show how they milk cow!!! They told all about how much they eat & milk they produce! You were more interested in the dog beside the trailer! After the demonstration they had ice cream & milk! You liked the ice cream, but no the white milk, you like chocolate! They also gave out these small cow toys made out of a soft foam. She gave you 2. Before we knew it you had bit the nose off of one. You finished off the rest of it today! We did not stay very long, you were tied & it was hot! But we enjoyed watching your face when you saw the animals!!! We love you!
